the movie Caregiver

I just went to see the movie "Caregiver" and I feel the urge to say something. The circumstances portrayed by sarah, closely resembled my own, since I'm a filipina working as a Caregiver in the United Kingdom. Firstly, one could be tempted into thinking it was a realistic presentation, however certain technical inacuracy distracted me. For example there's dramatic scene with Sarah strugling to assist the old man in the bed. In reality this unlikely as we are trained never to lift a patient, and have mechanical aides, called hoist, available to assist patient to mobilize. Also we have been well coach in clinical responses. I refer to the scene where sarah talks to a demented patient as if she is a baby. This would not be the case. I'm sure I'm not the only novice critic. There must be other filipino caregiver working abroad, so I invite your thoughts and opinions in relation to this film.

My grandmother always hires a caregiver every year so I have some inkling of what he job is like. I have to say, kudos to you for wanting to care for other people! I know that the money is a big draw, but those who have been under the employ of my grandmother always seem to genuinely care for her. I haven't seen the movie yet. I'll try to get a DVD next time. :)
