Are your pets afraid of the loud noise? What do you do to comfort or protect your animals from the fear and anxiety?

Oh yeah....my little dog is afraid of loud noises and absolutely freaks out on the 4th of July. We have some tranquilizers from the vet that we have to give her every year to calm her down. This year fireworks are banned in our town due to the high fire danger so maybe it won't be so traumatic for her....lets hope!
