Have you ever wondered what it would've been like if you chose a different path in life, like if you're married and have kids, do you wonder what your life would be like now if you didn't? Where do you think you would be at this moment in your life? Also, the opposite, if you're single, where do you think you would be if you had a family rignt now, and I mean would you be living in the same city, have the same job etc.....

yes...I do think about that. I don't regret having my son..but it certainly changes your life. I think you lose yourself and your freedom when you have children. If I had to do it again..I would have stayed single and not had children so soon. I would have stayed in school and had a good job and perhaps travelled and enjoyed life more.

Yeah, that was the purpose of my discussion question. I had children young too, and wonder at times, how would my life would've been if I would've waited, and if I would've had babies now and have a different career, live in a different city??..... :) I don't regret having my boys though, they make feel happy and busy.....

I do sometimes. If I chose the different path, I would be really miserable right now, working where I dont want to, living where I dont want to, dont like the friends I will have, I probably be very hateful person. I did regret for not doing it what I should have to get married and have my daughter but Im glad I chose what I went through. I learned a lot since I chose my own path in late 2001.

Well that's good at least you feel some sort of gratitude for the ups and downs. At least you know where you're at now is something that is more fulfilling than if you didn't...:)

I think about this from time to time. It is a very good question. I am a stay at home mom and I love it but I think that if I didn't get pregnant so soon after I graduated high school I would have gone to Court Reporting school. Not sure how much different my life would be though because there isn't a whole lot I would change so far...luckily!!

I do wonder what would have happened if we hadn't had our baby so early. Perhaps I would have developed more of a career, but it would probably have been the wrong career, because my experience with unplanned pregnancy has lead me to my new career path. I wouldn't give up my life now for anything, though. She's my only source of sanity when my husband is out at sea!

That's what I think about too, if I hadn't started a family so young would I have babies now, and I would I have a different career? I am happy with how my life turned out though, because I'm busy in a good way with my kids and I'm with a good man, sometimes I just ponder the thought "What if" :)

I do all the time. I don't regret my children but I do wonder what it would have been like if I had done things different. I wonder how different things would have been if I had been more open with my first love and if I would have been his first love because of it. I wonder if things would have lasted longer and if it would have even made a difference. Especially since I know that at the very least we would have gotten back together, if only for a while longer. Oh well, there's nothing we can do to change the past. :(

Thanks for the response and just to clarify with everyone as well, it wasn't really an issue of regret, but if you ever wondered what your life would've been like....just a different approach to discussion... :) I feel things happen for a reason in our lives, but sometimes when we grow older we think of the phrase "If I only knew then what I know now," I just reflect on a lot of stuff too, nice to see someone else does too.....
