Hi everyone,
Happy Father's Day to all! I was just wondering what everyone thinks a mother's role should be on Fater's Day. I know when it was Mother's Day I always tried to organize things for my kids so they could give their mother a nice day. Whether it be financially or just by giving them ideas. What do you think? What should a mother do on Father's Day? Or should she just leave it to the kids?
cheers,

I think, speaking as a mother myself, that she should do the same as was done for her on Mother's Day.
Small children can't go shopping to buy Dad something, or even have the money to do it with. Older children need ideas and a 'supervisor' to put it all together.
I rarely got a celebration on Mother's Day. I was always the one who organized everything so, if I wanted a celebration of any kind, I had to plan it myself. I did the same on Father's Day.
One Mother's Day, I met my next-door-neighbor in the grocery store. We were both doing our regular routine, so we wished each other a Happy Mother's Day, and laughed.
In a good relationship, the partners should try to do things equally, so I believe the mother has a responsibility to make Father's Day a nice one.

No you should not leave it to the kids, We as a Mother should also do something to make this day meaningful for the Father of our family. Let's Lead the kids in the preparation and must shell out money if necessary to really buy special gift for the father. Their role as the Head of the family should be celebrated and given such importance.

Good question Before my father passed away we did things like a cook out or went to the beach and hung out there.. He loved the lakes and fishing and things like that.. My husband though this Father's day,Today got a nice breakfast, lunch and a few drinks... I let him do what ever he wanted to make him happy, Though he seems to walk around sorta grumpy and don't know why either lol...

Mom and kids should get together and make it special
for dad on Father's day as the kids need her help;
and supervision so make it a fun time for all concerned.

My mothers role tonight was to have a picnic at the park with my wife and grand kids, Being there was good enough, She got me a card and lottery tickets for every year I was a father, 16 for my oldest son, Daughter 14 don't count-LOL.
As far as my wife was concerned breakfast in bed by kids, served by wife and she left me alone on computer and let go swimming. Until our picnic started.
