There IS something worse than standing on a slug bare footed ....

I don't know whether you are familiar with that absolutely disgusting feeling when you squish a slug in your bare feet? There's a bit of resistance, but just too late for you to take your weight off again, then it goes squish and oozes between your toes. Well I thought this was the most disgusting feeling in the world. But this morning, I changed my mind .... There I was, standing in the chicken shed minding my own business, one leg on the ground and the other on the back for balance, both hands occupied, wearing Crocs. Evil chicken comes along, turns it's back on me & craps on my foot with a noise that would rival my husband after a beer and curry night. I don't immediately notice exactly where it has left it's little parcel, until it starts seeping down through the holes in my Crocs, in between my toes. It's still warm, it's fresh and stinky ... and there's nothing I can do immediately as I'm stood on one leg with my arms full Arhghhhhhh! Bad move Mrs Chicken. At some point I'll be choosing who becomes stock. What's the most disgusting thing you've trodden in? Did you feel like bathing in disinfectant like I do right now?

That's decidedly unpleasant! Sorry you got caught like that. I can't stand the slimy bottoms of creeks and ponds, it's the most disgusting thing to me. I have only two fears/phobias and the other is cockroaches. I would drown rather than put my bare foot in slimy river bottoms!

I have to agree that river bottoms are pretty grim and I don't like putting my feet down there either. What's even worse that knowing there's a slimy river bed down there is not being able to see and having no idea what might be beneath you that you'd touch with your toes if you allowed them down there.

Now you have me wondering which is worse, cold congealed cat puke or warm still steaming cat puke?

I think slimy cat gack is the worst for me. It happens periodically that they overeat, or eat grass and then leave me a present to find either bare footed or with my shower shoes. Yuck. Yes, I want a complete bath at that moment.

They do have a habit of leaving that in the most inappropriate places, don't they?

ah yuck the most digusting thing that happen to me was not stepping on something but having a giant cockroach run across the top of my bare foot as I was getting out of bed in a motel in New Mexico on my way home from Arizona to South Dakota , I yelled loud enough to wake my sister who wanted to know what I was yelling about. I was never so glad to leave a motel room as I was that morning. yuck and yuck some more.

I've never seen a cockroach outside of a zoo environment, but I guess I should be thankful eh?! I bet that's not a motel you'll be in any hurry to return to!

One thing jumps into my mind here, and thats when someone spits on the pavement ,if you were in bare feet and stepped in it I would be sick, and I mean sick,to me that would be worse tha any slug.

Yuck, I feel like running off and sticking my feet in a bowl or warm water now - LOL. I guess the most disgusting thing lately was a little present Moomin the Mad Moggie left for me on the bathroom carpet. He had scoffed his food far too quickly and had been sick right in the middle of the bathroom floor. I got out of bed in the middle of the night and didn't put the bathroom light on, so my bare foot landed right in the cat vomit. GROSS.

I remember when I was very young and my dad had kept a friend's hunting dogs in our basement for a couple days, I forget why, and after they'd gone I walked down cellar for some unknown but obviously DUMB reason in my bare feet - YYYUUUUUCCCCKKKKKK - I stepped with both feet into a huge pile of dog poop. It was squishy and stinky and I went ballistic if I recall correctly! I seem to remember trying to walk back upstairs on my heels only so I wouldn't track it all over. Annie

This just proves that you feed your chickens well. Well, you ought to thank Mrs. Chicken because she inspired this post. The yuckiest thing I stepped on? There are many I guess. I stepped on dog's poo once, and I was barefoot too. And I stepped on cow dung once. Luckily, I had my shoes on then. And the most disgusting of all was stepping on slimy snails that stick to your skin and don't go no matter how much water you pour on. Cheers and happy mylotting

I still think it has to be a slug for me.They come into the back of my house where the bathroom is and some a quite large . the worst thing is stepping on one in the midle of the niht when I've gone to the bathroom and stood on a large one in he dark, just that feeling.
