Do you chat with strangers in the net?

I first got the internet when I was about 10 years old and chatting with random people in other countries was like the most amazing thing to me then. I'd never give out any personal info either. I have a bunch of messengers now...everyone on it is my friend though, not a stranger.

Yes every day someone will say hi to me and of course I say hi back to them.. I use a program called pal talk and you meet alot of different people, nice, strange and weird people.. But you tend to find the people that are good and you always want to talk too all the time.. There are alot of different ones from all over the world that's what makes this chat program the best of all the chat programs out there...

hi aji! well yeah, because i have met a lot of helpful people who have given me advice on how to earn online. we have exchanged YMs and we do message each other. i have also earned from them because of it. they have given me offers and after i have completed them, they paid me, it is really cool. but of course, we have to be very careful because there are also those who just prey on people's innocence on the net and victimize people. good day and God bless you! :) take care, even on the net.

I used to love chatting even with strangers. Total strangers at that. I think it is the anonymity that makes chatting with strangers exciting. But that was long ago. I do not really chat that often now. I do not like what the chatworld has become. For the past few months, I have noticed that there are more and more perverts online. Rarely do we meet people to chat with and talk about sensible stuffs.

I always chat to people I don't really know, and then I become closer friends to them then the people who I actually call friends. Go figure. Chatting with people you don't know, from all around the world really can open your eyes as well. You do need to be careful though, and make sure you NEVER give out and personal information(Unless you REALLY trust that person.)

well i am always in look out for friends and so i chat with strangers and that is why i have so many chat friends. the thing is there are way to judge people and if you are good at it then there is no harm in talking to strangers. i believe in chat relationships and so i never mind that. i have very good friends whom i got from chat rooms so i am always on the look out.

I don't chat with them anymore. i tried yet again, well i just realized that i have nothing to talk about with them.. its just asking where you, what you do, and then there is really nothing much to talk when you are done with the most basic information.

Hi ajithlal, I have chat with a stranger from tagged. And its a site where we get the information of the user first and when we accept it they are able to chat with us. so its safe but still i dont give personal information. I need more time to know them.

I have chatted with stranger when I was younger and now I only use facebook, and instant messenger and 99% is someone I know trough friends or someone I have meet before.

This is god dont share the personal information I chat on rediff bol but not share my personal information. Mostly I chat on facebook with familiar persons so no problem with me. Strangers may be a good friends after chatting.

While doing college, i am a great fan of chatting and spend most of my time with yahoo messenger, i am not interested in sharing my personal info with strangers, but i chatted with a lot of strangers and make a good online friendship with them at that time, but now i am not active in chat and missing them all

I still talk to strangers on the net. Was about 11 years ago I met this stranger on the net that was like almost 3000 miles away from where I was. We got to talkin and would talk for hours sometimes and then we talked on the phone. we met in real 2 years after we met online and this august will be 9 years of marriage for us. So some strangers are awesome. Counting us there were 6 online chat friends we had met through the years in our wedding was cool. Yes I do still talk to stangers online. It is the same as meeting a person for the first time in real everyone is a stranger rather it be online or in real until you get to know them. I do have rules. I give NO money to anyone and that even goes for the ones I have chatted with for a couple a years or more.

When I was younger, I was told by my parents to never talk to strangers. I do know that this is some sort of verbal protection done by parents for the safety and welfare of their children. And now that I'm already a mother of one loving daughter, I am certain that I will do the same not only to safeguard my daughter but also for discipline. But I must admit that I have done the opposite on a couple of occasions or more. In particular, when I was still in my college days, I would often take long trips going to and from our province. The trip would usually take five to six hours and along the way, I would sometimes have a small chat with my seatmate; but it would always be initiated by him or her. Just the same with chatting in the internet, even if he or she can't see you and vice versa, it's still best to always be careful with what you say and do. If the person you're chatting with can't do anything harmful to you, others may or even karma will do it for them; if you're not too careful with your dealings. I have nothing against chatting; because I know that a person is entitled to his free will but personally, I don't engage in chatting for two reasons. One, I don't have my own computer at home and I only get to use the internet and computer here in the office. Second, since my usage is so limited, I don't have time to chat and it's really not my interest. Anyway, I guess it's best to take precautionary measures for your safety than take the risk of being harmed. "An ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure." applies here best. Take a lot of care always.

The only place on the internet that I chat is in mylot. It is a little bit different as I need to wait for a response back and sometimes, most times if I want to be honest, I don't get a comment back and then I feel disappointed. Some people here don't think of mylot as a chat line but I do, so I try to keep a conversation going. My duaghter uses msn messenger and she uses facebook, but I haven't yet. I probably will some day but for now mylot is enough for me, and we get paid for it, amazing.

yah i usually do. but remember we should not give our personal info to them. it is better to know more of them first and get acquainted with them. its usually a friendly chat!

Yes I used to chat with stranger for make a good friends from online, in the yahoo many friends come and go, but some of very good and close to know each other activities. And whenever they got time they used to called on mobile. Many things will support online by chatting with friends, but some times you loose many things which cannot complete you existing friends, then you need one strange to give up the right solution from them so they may become your best friends.
