Hard one that. "Shane" spring to mind, but then that is not a father movie per se so much as a father figure movie. "East of Eden" has several wonderful father-son themes between Cal and his dad. Reservations regarding the movie as a whole notwithstanding, I think the scene between Charlie Sheen and his real life dad Martin in "Wall Street" is one of the most beautiful father-son scenes in film history; and is very true to many father-son relationships. The rivalry, the anger...and then the sudden realisation: how deeply you love your dad, but never really realised until a crisis occured.

Great minds think alike. Do you know I almost saw East Of Eden because I thought it was a great father themed film?I think Shane is a great father based film. I just forgot about it.I liked that scene between the Sheens.Speaking of the Sheens, did you ever see The War at Home directed and starred Emilio Estevez? He directed and starred with Martin in this film. It has a father theme but in this one the father-son relationship is really strained.

No, I never saw it. It only seems like yesterday that Martin Sheen was a brooding James Dean lookalike...how quickly time passes.

Cheaper by the Dozen - the ORIGINAL true story - NOT the one with Steve Martin. That one was so stupid. But the original, true story they did back in the, well don't know...just bought the DVD of it! IT was always a favorite of mine. Then there was Father Goose - where the orphans and woman get stranded on a island with a goofy military guy and they turn him into a "adoptive father". And Fred MacMurry on My Three Sons - loved that show!

I like the Pursuit of Happiness and it's a very touching movie based on the true story. Will Smith acted a good father in this movie very well. I couldn't help shedding my tears. This movie is very encouraging.

One of my favorite classics Father Of the Bride.With Spencer Tracy and Elizabeth Taylor.One of the best Father's Day movies around.

By far, Father of the Bride. And only the first one. The second was okay, but the first one is funnier. That was one of my favorite movies as a child. A lot of great movies came out in the 90s. I can't really think of any other father themed films.

Father's Day with Billy Crystal, Robin Williams and Mel Gibbson too ^^. It's a hillarious comedy. Cheers and happy myloting.
