I was like that. I really used to like maths lower down in school, until I started GCSE work at 14. I got put in a class that worked at a faster pace than I was able to work at. I got behind and so when it came to do the really hard stuff I just gave up and didn't listen. I gave up studying it after GCSE. I still did quite well in my GCSE and got an A - not good enough for my teacher however who was disappointed that I was one of only 2As in a whole class of A*s...

well I love maths when i can solve the equation. I hate it when I am stuck at one point, the frustration is just too much.

well of course. Calculus and linear algebra is a different level from high school and elementary. It was so easy but when I did calculus, I had to put more efforts into studying. If you go to university, let me tell you that financial math and statistic will kill you lol. goodluck

Haha! Numbers have always been my weakness. I can pass any math subject only if I put my mind and my heart into it. I have to focus and listen because may innate abilities aren't with numbers. I'm more into words and literature. But all in all, school is fun. Good luck. Cheers.

I loved maths all along.. from primary to now. It did get harder at stages but differentiation, intergration and matrices aren't that much different. And I've got to say, last year's GCSE Maths was the easiest subject.. way too many people who aren't even good at the subject got A. They should raise the requirements considering how easy it was to score 97% in the test. I do IB now and it gets slightly harder, but still capable within my understanding of maths.

My math was at the borderline when I was in primary school handling all those problem solving questions, I still hated them now though lol, they made my life difficult as a little girl! Now, I LOVE maths! It was only when I was in secondary school, I found out that math is easy! It doesn't require memorising chunks and chunks of text, I can find my own way to cut out steps hahaha.
My friend told me that those who love math and science will hate subjects that requires memorising lik history, geography, literature etc. People who are love "memorising subjects" will hate math and science. I wonder how true is that.
