do you always do your best to gain a highest compensation???? for a promotion, to be acknowledge, to gain compliment???

it's all incorporated in that.. compensation, promotion and/or compliment.. but at the end of the day, the reason why you should be doing your best is not becasue of these things, but self-fulfillment. =)

a high compensation and a very good recommendation from your boss counts a lot! as for myself, it really motivates me to give my best shot. Who wouldn't want an increase in salary or a promotion. right? Just keep in mind that as long as you're not trying to lower down your colleagues reputation and you're not making any unselfish moves, then it's ok for you to have that attitude.

I suppose most people want to get promoted, be acknowledged and gain compliment from others. People will be motivated by doing so. They will try to be good and may go all out to improve themselves.

i try to give my best to my company but i dont know my company did not give the best for me. it makes me be unmotivational employee now. i have to leave my recent company.

Hey hi,
Yes offcourse, i am doing best to gain best and believe me i have observed and have done it of my own. So every person should do his/her best to gain compliment and reputation as well. One should have this ability to work hard until that would not be completed. So, as per good words, "Work live Coolie & Live Like Prince".
