buy your friends

do you know the buy your friends applications. there are at least two of them on facebook.
What are your thoughts about it?
In some way i find it entertaining, but at the other end it's a bit strange the thought of 'owning' your friends. Also the fact that other people can bid on you, like you're some kind of possesion, it's a bit strange...

That was my first thought too.
It supposed to be a game and many people on facebook play it, I guess they just don't think it through, and play it like you can play monopoly.
If they called it, buy pictures from your friends (with fake money) it would be more accurate and less strange to think about it. But that wouldn't sound as interesting i guess. oh well...
