WILL you RESPOND to a DISCUSSION which HAS awarded the BEST RESPONSE earlier ??

Hi mtsandeep, Hey, the ONLY reason I'm responding to this discussion is because it hasn't had a "Best Response" awarded yet!;) Actually, you're probably right - on average, people will be less likely to respond to a discussion which has been symbolically "closed" by a "Best Response" award. I know that's not strictly correct, but that's the implication that people probably get. Anyway, sometimes I notice a discussion that is months or even years old that just got a new response. Those ones I don't generally worry about, because (unless they're particularly interesting) they're unlikely to be of current interest to the originator. In that case, the "Best Response" award really IS a defacto "closure" statement. BUT if it's a recent discussion on an interesting topic, I'll still put in my two bob's worth even if a "Best Response" has been given. There might not be as many respondents after that, and it will decline with time, but that's just part and parcel of an online discussion forum.

I respond to the discussions I find interesting enough to respond to... So I respond to any discussion ... even if it gave the best response or even if it;'s 2 weeks old but the subject is still good to talk about... Oh..and you reminded me to give ,,best response'' to my discussions...I'll do that for a few right now

Of course I will respond to discussions that have already awarded best responses. I don't think that there is any reason for me to stay out of a discussion just because a best response has already been awarded.

Hello mtsandeep, Yeah, I still response to those discussions with best response already given. I don't actually check if the best response is already given when I post to a discussions. I see to it that I have something to contribute to a discussion. If I feel I don't, I usually don't response and I look for another discussion to response to. If the best response has something to do with earning it might affect the way we response to a discussions. It might even participation here at mylot because of the competition to get the best response. Right now, mylot rewards us by giving our opinions, whether it is right or wrong. So why complicate things with a best response. Best response is just for rating and I don't think a lot of people cares about the rating here. They are more concerns on contributing something to a discussion.

yep... as long as the discussion is interesting then i'll answer it... i love being able to be awarded the best response but that's not my reason for posting so it doesn't really affect my response... usually, what i do is look at new discussions and find something i'm interested in but i make it a point to respond to discussions from people who responded to my discussions.,. it's easier that way since i don't need to search that much.. they're just there..

Yeah, Defenately, Incase If the topic of the discussion is interestings, If its actracts me, if i can able to respond those discussion, i never mind about the selected the Best Responses or not.. In case if i can able to respond those discussions, in a different point of view, i am surely select those discussions and respond the same In fact i have responded lots of discussions so far, like that, the discussions which has been already marked the best Responses. This is not come to an end, once you mark the Best responses, Infact i got the appreciation for those responses also from them. Incase if they mark the best repsonses for the discussions, it may be moved from the "my resolved discussions" not from the discussions forum, you can get more and more responses, even after marking the best responses.. But here some of the people are there, that if the discussions which has been already marked as the best responses, they thought that, that discussions has been closed for the responses, no one should not respond to that discussions, like that.. Actually this is not a fact. Any time you can respond any of the discussion, in which you can able to show your Different point of view of that particular discussions topic.
