pokemon or digimon

I don't know about the creater of the cartoon, I think it's a different people. but I like digimon more. DIGIMON ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im more familar with pokemon, but i've always prefered the storyline of digimon. Pokemon's storyline was mainly just collect bages and try to keep team rocket away from pikachu (lol) digimon was alot cooler, but the gameplay of pokemon was definately better.

Digimon is better than pokemon because it's kinda becomes annoying every time team rocket is in the show. Digimon Is cool because they explore new places every episode sometimes Also Pokemon And Digimon Wasn't created by the same people there must of been a group of Digimon People, and Pokemon people they probably wanted one to be released but they just made both to be released Digimon FTW.

I like Digimon more than Pokemon, since Digimon's storyline is fits me more than Pokemon's and, no, they are not created by the same people trivia: the creator of Digimon, Akiyoshi Hongo is never seen on public media, dunno about Pokemon

Digimon for sure. They are not created by the same people. In Japanese, they like to cut names. For example, "Remote Control" gets changed into "Remokon". So, "Digital monsters" and "Pocket monsters" get cut to "Digimon" and "Pokemon". The words look the same, but it is completely different. Also, the series are very different. Digimon can talk, they can evolve and go back to a weaker version, and they rely on their partners for their strength at times. This is why the bond is stronger...also why most digi-destined only have one digimon. Also, each season has new people and sometimes a new concept (ie, first season, they have a digimon, forth season, they are the digimon), and unlike Pokemon, they save the world in one season. Pokemon is made for younger kids, and it pretty much just focuses on training multiple pokemon to beat whoever is the strongest. It is certainly longer than digimon (digimon only has 6 seasons (one is actually really new) while pokemon has about 15 or so now) but Ash still is not the best. I think the main reason for pokemon's success is it's games. Digimon also has a few games, and I think they are more fun than pokemon (each game also has a different concept) but of course, what is more popular always wins.

I know both of the series but Pokemon is way better for me. The names are very unique in Pokemon but the names in Digimon all end in -mon. It's quite tiring see all those Digimon with lots of -mon. Pokemon and Digimon are created by different people. 'Pokemon' means 'pocket monsters' and 'Digimon' means 'digital monsters'. They both are great TV shows and games, but the Pokemon games are far better. I love Pokemon!

i agree with bananaman but i like digimon a little more because of the better interaction between the creatures and the people. plus in digimon there is always a major storyline whilist in pokemon the shows are mainly day by day. plus the bio-digivolution concept to fuse creatures with people was a great thing to implement. now game wise i go for pokemon because digimon is short and there are no 'quests' its just fight fight fight yet in pokemon there are puzzles and other variious things to keep you sucked in the game without drifting between...

They were created by different people, but pokemon is better in my opinion.

I like pokemon better because they have a wider range of creatures and the stories are more fun and unique than digimon. but both of them i love i just prefer pokemon hehe Take care ~Scaflone~

Pokemon, because I like the video game. The first 3 seasons from Digimon was good but it went downhill during the 4th one.

Digimon is way beta Pokemon is really Boring every episode with team rocket blah blah blah we are blasting off again its really gets annoying I prefer digimon season 1,2,3

Anime/manga-wise, I'd say digimon is better. I enjoyed it tons more than I did the Pokemon series. Videogame-wise, Pokemon wins. I still like sitting down on lazy days and catching them all--at least up through silver/gold version. After that there were too many, and not all of them very original IMO. So it depends on what we're discussing for which one I'd pick.

Both are really great but maybe Digimon is better, Pokemon isn't bad either. Pokemon and Digimons are both cute.
