How has the price of gas affected you? Are you doing anything differently? Changed your vacation plans? It's really hurting us. My husband has to drive an hour each way to work. Now he is just working 4 days in his lab and working one day at home to try to not use as much gas. What are you doing differently to conserve gas?

We didn't go on vacation this year becasue of the price of gas. It would have taken $200 just for gas if we had gone on vacation and that money needs to be used to buy groceries that keep going up in price.

It is really horrible at my house. I am averaging close to $80.00 a week. I combine trips. I use to treat myself to manicure and a pedicure. I now do those at home. I am planning to take the bus starting this week. It will add an extra 30 mins to my 1 hour commute, but I just cannot afford to drive anymore.

The price of gas has really affected us in a big way. We need to plan our trips in order not to waste any gas and we no longer have the luxury of taking leisurely drives, those are a thing of the past.

Well, first of all, that is great that your husband can stay at home at least one day to work. I really wish that I could come up with something to work at home also! Right now I am not working and just taking care of my husband. Sometimes he will take the bus if it works with his schedule. But, we are really saving so that we can go an vacation to visit my Mom. We will be driving.

i'm lucky enough not to need a car where i live. but the increase in the price of gasoline has effect even on us non-drivers. many products cost more, since it costs more to transport them, and the european fishermen or on a strike because it's become too expencive for them to work, due to gasoline. therefore fresh fish is hard to find and getting more expencive
