No. Should they? I'm sure the darker stories would cause me to become more cautious about purchasing one. And that's only if the item had a dark past. I find them much more interesting i general because of their history. I like knowing about who own it way before I did. That reminds me of that movie 'The Red Violin' or something.

Oh yes! There are antique furnitures that really freak me out. I remember that in my room in my paternal grandparents' house, there is this closet that is really old. It freaks me out especially at night. Since it has mirrors, I do not really look at it especially at night. There's also this old piano in that house that I find creepy. I do have a very weird imagination and I think that is the reason why there are antique furnitures that really freak me out.

Antique furnature doen't freak me out at all. Infact, I think it's really neat. I'm not worried about the history of the piece either.

I have always like antique furniture and thought that some of the old furniture is built better than new furniture. I guess i have always liked the look of the furniture the craft that was put into making the piece. But your discussion was strange, do you have a picture of the antique that you speak of. I would like to see what is so scary about the piece of furniture. I don't think i have seen any furniture that had a bad history behind it.

No, not at all. If you think it has eerie thingamajig, have it blessed by a Priest or pastor, to be sure. Nothing is above God, we can overcome anything with Him. God Bless!

I am not into antiques at all. My husband likes to go to shops to look at antiques and I can't even touch any of it. I think it is because I know it belonged to someone else. Is that like OCD? Maybe but I still feel creepy around stuff that is old and belonged to someone I don't know.
