Hello ramon... I am sad to say that I do not know any cure for your asthma nor any vitamins to keep you well(though ascorbic acid can strengthen your immune system but can't cure your problem), but all I can say is that you can avoid experiencing it by GETTING AWAY from those things that triggers your asthma... Like if you are allergic to dust and smoke... pls wear a face mask and try to avoid those places that are polluted. I hope i did say something that could help you my friend... I hope all the best for you specially on your health!!! God bless you

Thanks for your response to my discussion. I will get away from those things that trigger my asthma. I will take vitamin c too to improve my immune system.

Hi, ramon....like Jhordie said, there is no cure for asthma, because asthma is a respiratory problem that stems from inflammation of the airways, and as long as there is inflammation there in the airways, there will be asthma. While most children grow out of it during adoslescence, some do not, and will continue having it until adulthood.
Though I'm a Pharmacy student, I don't really know what vitamins to recommend because as far as I'm concerned, I don't think any vitamins directly help in strengthening the immune system for the airways. However, if you haven't already had it, I suggest you go to your doctor and request for a steroid inhaler. Steroids can help in reducing the inflammation and preventing asthma exacerbation; thus it's name "the preventer". If you have an acute attack of asthma, use your blue Ventolin inhaler.
I guess the most important things to take note to avoid asthma becoming worse is to avoid trigger factors such as dust, pollen, smoke and so on, as well as to avoid heavy exercising as exercise could induce asthma as well.
All the best then in the management of your asthma. I know how irritating it is having a condition that prevents you from doing you daily activities to the fullest.

I have asthma too and it keeps on coming back whenever i get allergic to dusts and sometimes when i get stressed.
I have heard that asthma could be cured through frequent exercise as what some of my friends have experinced. I too have asthma but I just don't have the time to exercise that is why I still have asthma till now.
My friends mostly recommend swimming as the most effective exercise to cure asthma. Well, if i only have the time to do so i would.
Why don't you try i once in a while and see its effect. :)
