What do you think about guys who wear makeup? Is this cool? I think it is and i have been known to wear a suble shade of lipstick from time to time. What's your take on this?

I used to watch lots of rock videos on MTV and the guys were always wearing lipstick and stage makeup. It's very theatrical and not degrading at all. Look at Marilyn Manson or Kiss. Those guys wear all kinds of stage makeup. Many of these guys just do it for their music. Some have girlfriends or a wife, others don't. It's just fun! I like it. I like a man who isn't afraid to experiment with his personal look or isn't afraid of being creative or critisized. Boy George wore lipstick and was not afraid to be critisized for his personal look. He's a brilliant singer and multi millionaire. So, he must have been doing something right. When a man does something out of the ordinary it says he is secure with his own masculinity. And, doesn't crave approval from others. P.S. I liked your pants comment. So true. Why should us girls get to wear pants which used to belong to men, if guys can't steal some of our gloss now and again. Be well. have a blessed day.

exactly. wearing makeup doesn't make one gay (i have nothing against gays, in fact i admire them), it shows the world that he's secure enough to try something different.

That's what I think, too! I don't understand why anyone would judge another person on their exterior. It's so unfair. Makeup and fashion is an external expression of a person. It's their way of seperating themselves from others in a crowd. It's their way of saying, "This is who I am!" Thanks for best response, Be well and happy posting on MyLot.

I hope you don't think I'm anti-gay, but I think guys who use makeup are gay! Take Pete Wentz for example. Sure he's an emo rocker from Hollywood, but wearing guyliner to parties and stuff has really made me think he's sort of gay. It's good that he was able to redeem himself in an interview where he said that it'd be fun to wear guyliner, but that after everyone expected him to use it, he stopped coz it wasn't fun anymore. ALso, he got married recently so I don't think he's gay at all. I really don't know why guys would want to wear makeup are they just being vain? I also don't like guys who wear headbands-- if you don't want your hair in your eyes then get a haircut!

hmmm, following your reasoning then i guess girls shouldn't wear pants? and i believe there's nothing wrong about being vain, as long as it doesn't interfere with other aspects of your life. Nice point though, thanks.

I don't mind it as long as they don't look like train wreck. I used to think that it was not suitable, AT ALL, but now I'm okay with it after seeing a few guys pull it off. :] But sometimes, oh gawd, some people look like a deranged clown. Now those are a big no-no.
