Does your ex wish you on your birthdays?

My relation with my boyfriend is almost over. And today happens to be my birthday! I was very surprised to get a text message wishing me. This is my first full fledged relation, we had been going around for quite sometime. We had not parted in a bitter term, but in a very confusing way. I like to know if your exs wish you on your birthdays. Is it quite normal?

Thank you! I do agree. And I don't expect anything from him either, more so when we had stopped communicating for a long time.

i don't know...i guess if the relationship ended well and you are really good friends with your ex then it is ok...but i mean i don't and never have and probably never will if the truth is known about it...because most of the times you aren't going to end in a good relationship...because most times its one or the others fault that the relationship ends and there is a lot of hard feelings there...but like i said if you ended it really good then...i guess its alright...i mean friends do that to each other! oh and happy birthday!

Thank you! Yeah it's right to be good friend with ex. My relation with him is okay, probably because we didn't end it over fights but there are still many explained things(at least to me) about how it ended.
