Hi dear friends, i drink milk everyday. My mother used to tell that drinking milk i would gain weight. Even now i fear that i might put on weight and stoped consuming milk. But recently i became very weak, drinking milk for few days made me feel energetic. What is your opinion does milk really contain so much fat , that we tend to put on weight ifyou consume daily?

Yes milk contains a lot of fat and surely a lot og cholesterol. We all should be drinking 1-2 glasses of milk a day. For adults, choose the nonfat or skim milk so you don't worry about getting fat. We need calcium from milk

If you could get nonfat milk it might help. The thing with milk(at least here in the US) is that the dairy farmers use so many hormone shots to make the cows produce more milk that it starts getting unhealthy. It has been said that milk is to blame for kids reaching puberty at a younger age then they did ten years ago. These are just things that I have heard but its something to think about. Cheers, Tianna

I used to drink milk when i was a child. Now tea and coffee has replaced milk. I am strong enough and i dont need to drink milk to be stronger. Do you drink plain milk or with some added powder to it.

I don't believe milk adds a lot of weight. It might give some weight, but not so much that you should be worried of. Milk is healthy and makes you stronger :)

Drinking milk can be a little fattening, but nevertheless drinking milk does benefit you in other ways. Milk is rich in nutrients, it contains proteins, carbohydrates etc. Don't you know that Indian cricket captain Dhoni dedicates his strength to drinking 2 litres of milk everyday? But make sure to take skimmed milk, as skim is but fat.
