I love you but I'm just not in love with you...

Most people would initially react to this statement with: "What the?!" or "What's the difference?!" but based from experience it's in fact two different things...
Anyway this is how me and my ex started... and when people asked us if we were together or why we are not... this was our primary defense... and at first it was true... actually for 1 1/2 years it was true... but I did win her heart at some point... unfortunately happy days were over sooner than expected... so I guess we still ended with such phrase...
How about you do you believe it is in fact two different things? Have you ever experienced the same thing? Share your views or story...

I defeniatly think it can be two different feelings.
Loving someone can mean that you care for them, you see them as your friend/family, and you still want to be around them. But you just do not have those kind of feelings towards them.
Being in love with someone means that you want a relationship future with them; you want a house, you wants kids, you want to wake up every morning and see them.
Loving someone and being IN love with someone can be different.

whew! well, here it goes..
i think ' i love you is a mutual feeling..i mean, you love not just your girl/guy but everyone else around you, right? but when you say, im in live with you..well i think its like saying 'im ready...ready to spend the rest of my life with you..

Well, in my case, its reverse. I'm not in love with you but I love you... Why? Base on my experience, I am not in love with him for the first time but after we got married and have kids, i am now in love with him.
