Gee, for me it was when they were 2, 4, 7, and 8 years old. That was when I got my first computer and I was not really online.
I was homeschooling for a couple of years and I think I would buy every educational programs that I could afford to help them learn all the subjects.
One of the games was the Yukon Trail and it taught them about the gold rush to Alaska and they are now teenagers and still remember some of the information that they learned.
So what age did you start your little ones on a computer?

I am not married yet.
So I can not particularly share my experience.
But I have seen many kids growing up with computers.
Actually computers do nothing that can not be done in real world for actual gain except internet.
Internet is the single most factor that separates things.
True kids know a lot from encyclopedia, educational games, painting programs, piano softwares etc.
But at some point they are not as comparable to the offline world.
My nephew started computers when he was 3 years.
Actually he did nothing but talked over internet from Nigeria to India i.e. by yahoo messanger video chat.
It is no big deal, but is amazing as the new generation starts way up in the ladder called civilization than us.

Although I am more normal than others that I know, hehe. I don't have any aggresion issues... I'm quite calm person xD. Cheers and happy myloting.
