Next time you feel a little overwhelmed, grab your Swiffer and give the kitchen floor a quick sweep.Truth is, you shouldn't dread housework. It actually -- studies bafflingly show -- has the power to cheer you up! Chores and other forms of medium- to high-intensity activity may lift our emotions in a big way. And it doesn't take much of a time commitment to do the trick. A recent study found that just 20 minutes once a week of any kind of activity -- not just traditional things like walking, but also doing laundry, gardening, or washing windows -- can keep people from feeling anxious, depressed, or overwhelmed. do you really feel it? i mean the differences while doing some chores or just being a couch potato? does it really make you smile?well i guess i only smile when im in a good mood while doing it...what about you??

ive always found that doing the yardwork always makes me feel a little better in stressing situations.
dont get me wrong, when there are stresses for me in life, i find that helping out nature is not bad , in fact it has a refreshing way to make me feel better, even with the flowerbeds i watch over having weeds.

anxious, depressed, overwhelmed…typical symptoms of people who are forever involved with their OWN problems, imaginative or otherwise. For women like me who have very little time to take a good look at the mirror, housework sure makes us sweat and curse our luck. Doing everything single-handedly and then some more, there is precious little time to indulge in depression. Rather we could do with some free time! I am not trolling you in any way (am too scared of these trolls, its becoming very difficult to air divergent opinion because of them) but I would really take all such studies with a pinch of salt.

Hi there vanities,
It is all make sense, actually.
Cleaning the house will also cleaning negative energy around the house.
Trust me, you will feel better after cleaning. Dust and dirt bring negative energy into the house.
