why should mylot make you get 500 posts to copy & paste?

It makes a person post post post just to get to the 500. Quality is at risk here...

Saviour-V teleports in... There is a work-around, but it's a hassle. You can only copy a few words at a time, and I often do this when my posts don't go through to myLot - my connection's rather unstable at points, so my posts often get timed out before they reach myLot's boards. So, if my post is quite long, I open up Notepad and copy the post into that program, and if the post doesn't go through, I start copying and pasting, on a rather slow basis, that is. It helps, sometimes. Saviour-V teleports out...

Hi, I think myLot allows members with 500 posts or more to use "copy and paste" because it is a way to congratulate the mylotters. Mylotters who are active in myLot and reach 500 posts, so they can use the "copy and paste" and make myLot more enjoyable. For those mylotters who haven't reached the 500 posts, they can't use the "copy and paste" because it is a way to prevent spam or new members to spam myLot.

I just want it to make my life easier for the spell check. I copy and past mine to spell check it but until I reach 500 post I have to manually go in and change it myself instead of recopying and pasting it back to mylot. I understand why they do it but it is a pain for honest people wanting to not post misspelled words. I am getting closer though and am so happy.

I think they're hoping that the people who just come here for money will get tired of posting without being able to copy and paste. They want people to have real discussions. If you get to copy and paste right away it makes it too easy for gold diggers to earn more than people who are really serious about using this site the way it was intended. That's the way I see it.
