heart and love

why is heart the symbol of love .do u think that love is related to heart. is brain also not relater to love.

I think that both of them are related to love. The heart beats faster when you see the one you love and you always say "you are in my heart and on my mind" so I feel it is both and although we rationalize about love with our minds, our hearts are where the feelings begin and end.

yes they both r related..but by my personal experience i liked a guy very much and my heart was all out for him but he was not trust worthy and wud even hurt me with some words or actions of his and on the other hand this guy proposed to me and said tht he loved me so much ...my heart wanted the first guy but my mind told me tht wud might not b too good and i actually said yes to the other guy and i am so glad i did bcoz now i know him for12 years and we r happily married..while i know the other guy he has a bad reputation and also cheats on his wife ...so i think heart does not see right or wrong so it symbolises love...but brain thinks of pros and cons too...take care..
