Do you have a fear of flying?

I was always fine with going on a plane I always got abit nervous before getting on but was fine and quite enjoyed flying once I got on the plane, now I couldn't even imagine going near a plane as I now have really bad anxiety and don't go to far from home, it can be quite annoying as I used to go away with friends regularly when they were going away for the weekend or something, but I have to now refuse. Do you have a fear of flying and What makes you scared of it?

I have never flown...it is something that I always thought that I wanted to do...but at 47 years of age...I am not sure that this will ever actually happen in my life...I do think that I would be terrified...it is not like driving where you have alot of control over what it happening though..so I am not sure that I could actually go through with it...LOL
Maybe one day, I will get the chance to see if I could actually go through with it!!

When I did fly I did enjoy it I always liked relaxing and looking out the window. Maybe some day you will you never know lol

Flying scares me a lot. I've only flown twice. I'm claustrophic so it makes me nervous, and there's always the nagging fear of crashing.
I find airports scary too! Ahh! With all the security, customs, and not knowing where to go...I think it's actually a bit of a relief to sit down on the plane and be like phew, I made it. Haha.

Yeah and with it taking so long to go through all the security things and waiting around for ages it doesn't help with being anxious haha =)

I always got nervous when the plane going to take off. But i enjoyed when the plane have flying. But watched on my national televion for several little flight incident (e.g. emergency landing, mechanical problem before plane flying that makes flight delay for couple of hours etc.) that often happen in my country, make me think hundred times to get flying. FYI there are a lot cheap cost flight in my country. For example, for round about 800 - 1000 kms in 1.5 hours flight cost only US$ 30.
