I wash minds every so often with bleach. Do you? It get the dirt mites out. and your pillows smell fresh and clean. Do you use the Liners before you put on the Pillow Case?

That would depend on the type of pillow. When I grew up, I had feather pillows and bedding. Can't really wash that so often. It has to be especially cleaned at the cleaners. The pillows we use now can be washed frequently. I wash them, when I change the bedding. And yes with bleach. It just smells and feels cleaner.

Yes, I use liners. I wash them once in awhile, but i read an article in a helpful hint book that to kill any mites we should put them in the freezer once on awhile. Leave them in there at least from morning to bed time and that's supposed to get rid of the mites.

I wash my pillows often, I have several feather pillows and have learned that if I throw a clean shoe in with them it helps fluff them up. I love my pillows washed they always smell so fresh. I like to hang my sheets because of the nice fresh smell.

Mine is a feather pillow, so I mostly run it through the dryer on the fluff cycle with a fabric softener sheet. I don't wash it with bleach, not sure but I think it might damage the feathers. I have a soft zip-liner over the feather pillow part. Then I use an over-long pillowcase first, then I put on the regular pillowcase over top of the first one. The first one's opening is on one end and the pretty one has the opening on the other end. That way each time I wash sheets I wash both of the cases. I find that having the liner with the 2 cases method works better for me. Before I started doing that I'd always have small feathers that would migrate out of the liner, then out of the pillowcase. Now I don't have a problem with it, and if a stray feather gets loose I can just shove it back in through the zip part.

If it is feather, then I don't wash it. Actually, I've just ditched my feather pillow for a microfibre filled one that can be washed. I have to admit, i'm not very good at remember to wash our pillows, might have something to do with the ever growing mountain of washing that moves, but never goes away.
