I made my first watermelon bowl for my daughters baby shower. I put in several different kinds of fruit. Watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, pineapples, green and red grapes and blueberries. It was a big hit as everyone loved it. Have you ever made a watermelon bowl or basket. If so what fruit did you put in it and if you haven't made one, what fruit would you put in it?

Oh my that's making my mouth drool..that looks absolutely beautiful..like a work of art...No I've never made a watermelon bowl before...since it's only me living alone it wouldn't be practical and I rarely have guests..if I were though..think I would add to what you have there some cherries as well and maybe slices of kiwi...love kiwi..LOL

I have not made any watermellon baskets. Its a new concept and i shall try to make it one. We do fruit salads in which we put diffent kinds of fruits. Ice creams with it makes it much more delicious. I guess you and your family had a great time eating the watermelon.

How about adding milk with jelly and dry fruits. Some hot chocolates will also be good. what do you say?

I have never made one, but yours looks and sounds pretty good. I do not like blueberries, so I would not include those in mine, but I like everything else you put in yours.

Used to love this at family reunions. Strawberries, I think, would be good.

It looks great! I love watermelon bowls. Whenever I've made them, I've put balled melon, grapes, pineapple, and strawberries in. I never thought about blueberries, but I'll definitely have to remember that. Now that it's summer, I'm sure that was a great, refreshing, light treat. Congrats to your daughter!
