I just admire people who can maintain time everyday to have meditation. Reading encouraging words from the scriptures or any other inspirational books to give us strength for the day.
How often you do that? Well, for me, I am trying my best to have even 3-4times a week.
How about you?

I do it 30 to one hour every morning as I wake up. And I also do some readings of the Bible in the Bus while on my way to my job. And at night, I also would read some verses from the Bible before I go to bed. I believe it is my duty and a privilege as well as a child of God to meditate on his words to be constantly reminded and guided by His commandments and his wonderful promises. As the scriptures would say "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path"- Psalm 119:105. I also do not just read the Word, but I also memorize them and keep them in my heart as it is my weapon against sin so that I could maintain a life pleasing to God. As it is written in Psalm 119:11 - Thy word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against thee."
God bless!
I also meditate on God's word

I really admire your spiritual life. You are giving time to your daily devotion which is good. I hope I can do that too.
this morning I had a Bible reading before I started to work in my computer.. It is nice to have daily communion with God.
thanks for the reply.

I would recomend that you read at least 15 minutes a day to get maxium effect.
I know that can be a very hard but it's usually worth it in the end

I use to meditate (a long meditation) once a day and do a guided meditation every night before bed....but over the past couple yrs I've not been able to for various reasons...I do however do it a few times a month....BUT mini meditations are soemthign I do a few times a day every day....I'd like to get back to my daily meditationsn though combined with daily yoga..I miss doing both regularly to be honest with you..I'm hoping that when the kids finish school next week I'll be able to get on a proper daily schedule though with both the yoga and meditations

I have been trying to keep a consistent schedule, but it turns into me doing it for only 5 minutes at a time and at the most 2-3 times per week. It's not nearly enough for my stress level and my purpose in life (I'm a Pisces, I'm destined for the spiritual path!) but I'm having a hard time feeling comfortable going further than 5 minutes into a Meditation...plus my home is not one I can meditate in...we do not have real doors, we have those doors that are sliding curtain rods for closets....there is noise here always, thin walls, small house and lots of animals.
The best part of my meditation, is that I am able to calm my crazy kitten down so that he falls asleep. They say you can feel the energy of another, and when I start meditating and he's running around knocking down everything in my room, he definitely sits down and starts to fall asleep.

When I take time for scripture and prayer, my day goes much better. Maybe it's because I can focus better or maybe it's because I don't worry about things, I don't know.
I do know that we have time to do the things that are important to us.

Oh really? I admire you for doing that. I wish I could do that too. I know I can if I put time into it. I believe on the saying that says... Man's necessity is God's opportunity.
Well, maybe the reason why sometimes, we are having hard times so that we will come unto him every day.
thanks for the reply.

I haven't meditated in a long time. It seems like I just can't find the time. I know that is just an excuse. I think that you inspired me to start meditating again ... thank you. I used to meditate and I would feel better in general throughout the day for example having less stress.
