Online doctor's appointment scheduling!

I went online to find the phone number of one of my doctors, and found that their website has on online appointment scheduler! It's only for scheduling checkups and routine visits (no emergencies), but I still thought it was pretty cool. Half of the stress of thinking about going to a doctor's office is getting up the nerve to make an appointment, so this is something that's really helpful to me. I got an email back within 45 minutes with available slots for each doctor, and all I had to do was reply with the appointment I wanted.
Does anyone else know if their doctor's have online scheduling? Would you use this feature or just find it weird?

Wow, I have never heard of something like that before. I know that my mother and father would definately would want to have a feature like this for my little brother and sisters and probably for themselves as well. It takes some of the pain out of going to the doctors office. I know I often have to hold for awhile waiting for the receptionist to get back to me. I would definately love to see my doctor's office do something like this, I'm going to suggest this to the office staff and doctor next time I go for an appointment. Thanks for posting about it!

I think I might suggest it for another one of my doctor's, too -- thanks for the idea. You have to call them, leave a message, and they get back to you a few hours later to schedule the appointment which is pretty inconvenient.
I'm assuming that it wouldn't work with smaller practices, but it makes a lot of sense for group practices!

I think it's a great idea and two of my doctors have this available to their patients. Another awesome thing that I found when my b/f was in the hospital was that I could email him and the printed email was delivered to him hours later! How great was that?

Very cool on the email! I know there's a hospital that a friend's little boy was at and you could send him e-cards through the hospital. They'd print them out and bring them to him, which I thought was pretty neat.

Oh yea, I'd use it. I didn't know they had that, but I haven't gone to the Doctor in a long time either.
