Ramen noodles would probably be really helpful. They're cheap and you can do so much with them. I've added butter and garlic to my noodles and they taste wonderful that way and it only costs a few cents to make. There is a great blog with ramen noodle recipes if you want to check those out. http://www.mattfischer.com/ramen/
Plus you can save the packs and use the packs for other types of dishes. If you have a farmers market around I'd try visiting that because you can get cheap vegetables that way. Rice could probably come in handy as well. If you had veggies you could make a quick stir fry and use some rice or noodles to make the stir fry go farther. We made one the other day that cost us about $3 to make and it was enough to feed four of us and keep us full all night. I think the best course of action right now though is to see what foods you have stockpiled and then go from there.

One of my favorites when I am running low on money is:
Homemade Chicken and Noodles...
a pound of chicken any part...boiled in large pot of water
take 6 eggs
add flour to make it stiff
add salt and pepper
roll mixture out on a floured board and let sit and dry for several hours...cut into narrow noodles...add to boiling pot of chicken stock after removing the chicken pieces...remove meat from the bones and readd to the pot...cook for 20 minutes or so
serve warm...
another favorite is:
take a pound of white navy beans and a pund of pinto beans...maybe add a few neck bones for flavoring...cook in crockpot on high all day...serve with cornmeal...
my family likes sweet cornbread...I make mine using 2 boxes of Jiffy cornmeal mix and one box of Jiffy yellow cake mix...3 eggs, 1/2 cup of water and 2/3 cup of milk...bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes and serve with butter...YUM!!
Hope that helps...

My partner has been surfing the net for many sites for recipes that don't cast much. She found a site that was to the point and the link says it all. They tell you the ingredients and the cost! http://www.cheapassfood.com/recipes Pardon the link name but it does say it all.

You want to get pasta and meat. Cook the meat and make stock from the juices of the meat. Take that and cut it up and use in various ways. Soups from the stock, and casseroles using the divided meat. Then you also want cereals that are inexpensive for breakfast. Skip the breads for now unless you know how to make them. If you can, then make bread and use that as well. Peanut butter jar to say the least. That should help some.

we get chicken and the rest of our meat from a butchers so its not that expensive. i would suggest making soup (that only needs some veggies and potatoes and a soup bone which you can get for just over $1.00) pasta is always a good idea as well. what about a meatless chili?

Depend on where you live.
$50USD for two week is very easy here,
which we can just eat $2 each day minimum,
and that's $28 for two week.
