Gabs says Thank You

Okay people I know that there has already been a discussion or two started on our beloved Gabs but I have just spoken to her again and promised I would send out an update for anyone who has missed the previous discussions! She has came through her surgery well and is being very strong and coping well. She has eaten and thoroughly enjoyed her food which is wonderful as she has had so little appetite for a long time. Her oxygen level is a bit low and she will have to sleep with the oxygen mask on overnight but that is pretty normal after a general anaesthetic. She cannot get to sleep as there is a room full of men in the next room and they are talking too loudly and too much for her to rest lol. She wanted me to let everyone know just how well she is doing and to thank you all for your love, support and prayers, she knows how much you all have been thinking of her and she is so very grateful! I am so relieved that she is not going to be in so much pain and that she has came through all of this so well. I am grateful to our own dear Darkwing who is and will be looking after both Gissi and Gabs and I am grateful to all of you for the support and friendship you have shown me over the last few years and that you have and are showing gabs now! Have you received support from your friends and fellow mylotters? Bless you all

i am glad that is made it from th surgery fine. That is prayers to God well answerd. Yes I have recived support this year as a matter of fact when I had eye surgery to correct my double vision. Although it hasn't completely went back to normal yet it's not near as bad as it was. Also my headaces aren't as bad.

Due to being away again for awhile...I was not aware of Gab's surgery...however, I am thrilled that she has come through it well...
She is always in my thoughts and prayers...

I didn't get but one email notification about gabs being done with surgery due to an email glitch once again it seems. But get home soon Gabs we miss you and Gissi gabbing on here.

Please send Gabs and Gissi my love and tell them to relax and get better and that I miss them. I'm so glad that Gabs is doing ok. I do hope that those guys will shut up and give her some rest. also thanks Darkwing for looking after our beloved Gabs. Hugs to everone.
I will say this the friends that I have made in this community have been the most supportive and friendly people that I have ever met. I just wish at times we were all closer so we could all go out for a night out. Take care everyone.

LOL after we spoke they were seemingly nice and quiet - then just as she got comfy and settled they all started snoring loudly! At least she is home now and Darkwing is making sure she is resting! I am sure she will read this very soon although she won't be responding as she shouldn't be sitting up long enough to do that! I know what you mean about supportive and friendly people - I would be lost without all you guys! xxx

I am glad to hear that she is doing well and that she has eaten a meal too yeah! I had to sleep with the oxygen on after I had my hysterectomy, horrible that is but it is the right thing for her.
It is great that she is doing so well, and lets hope that life is much better for her now that she has finally had this sorted, no thanks to her doctor who let her suffer for so long. Please send her my love and a big get well kiss from me.

Thanks sis! I got a lovely surprise call from her about ten minutes ago! I was so thrilled to talk to her and it all went well, better than expected it seems! I know Gissi will be over the moon to have his mum back tomorrow, but I guess he is sulking LOL. She has a lot of friends who think the world of her and it's times like this that you know who your real friends are xxx

She is sure welcome. I am so glad that she came through her surgery okay too. I receive support from a a few of my Mylot friends. I am failry close to some of them. I appreciate them too. They are always there for me online and in Mylot. I try to be there for them also.

Please tell Gabs to get well soon. I will be praying for her. I am so very glad she is doing better. She has been not well for so long and now finally she is getting the help she needs. This is a good thing for her. But poor Gissi ............ I don't know. He does not like to be away from her and I am sure he is confused. Gissi is probably missing Gabs like crazy. Please ask Darkwing to give Gissi a big hug for me. Thank you for keeping us up-to-date on Gabs progress.
To answer your question...yes, I have received prayers, comforting thoughts, insights, ideas, help, and friendship from other mylotters.

I heard that Gissi refused to speak to Gabs on the phone so he is no doubt in a mood with her! lol He has been a little quiet but Darkwing says for the most part he is just as he would be when Gabs is there! I will pass on your love and hugs to both and wouldn't be surprised if Gabs reads this herself tomorrow even if she doesn't respond! So glad you have had that support too my friend - it means a lot! xxx

I just say Thank You Lord!!! I have been praying for her and I'm so thankful she is out of surgery and that it went so well. Please give her a Big Hug!! and Gissi too! Please tell her to rest as much as she can so she can get home soon and start feeling even better. God Bless!!!

Thanks for the update, sis. I have not seen the other discussions but I will seek them out. I am so glad to hear that she is doing well. It is so hard to think of someone as sweet as Gabs being in the pain she has been in lately. I feel the same way about you when your back has you down and out. I will say that being a supportive friend to people as awesome as you and Gabs is about the easiest thing I do. I have said this before, but if love and well-wishes could eleviate all pain, you and Gabs both would never hurt again in your life with all the people who love you guys around here.
Three cheers for Darkwing..... hip, hip hooray. hip, hip hooray. hip, hip hooray!!! ....... for taking care of our Gissi and making us all feel better about Gabs being taken care of. She is truly blessed with your friendship.

Hi Mummymo, That is absolutely fantastic to hear as Gabs has been very much in my thoughts today. I know she was really frightend bless and when the operation was bpught forward went into panic mode a bit but yes she has Darkwing there upon her return and if you speak to her again please send her a big hug of love from me. THis is so good to hear and so proud of her for doing so good when I talked to her SUnday she was pretty upset and getting worried I ha to start talking about my grand daughter and get her to laughing hope I took some of the edge off for her.

I know I am late getting here "again" shesh am I ever really caught up wtih you all.... Anyway yes I have heard Our Gabs is at home and doing well. I am thankful and grateful....
You asked if we have ever received support from the mylot community. Man Mo I was in complete awe with our family and friends here on the lot when we first all meet MiniMe what this place did for her friend was astounding! I was moved to tears several times during that 2 week period.... It gave me such pride to be apart of mylot...
And yes yes yes, when Ineed a friend to cry on or need a shoulder it is you and all of my wonderful friends that I turn to for that support!

Angel you are a woman after my own heart - do you know how often I am behind in sooo many discussions! lol It is so thrilling that our Gabs is through the surgery and at home recovering!

Did gabs know Darkwing outside of myLot ... just curious, as I can tell she's a very special friend. To answer your question, I've been helped by so many amazing friends (and others) on myLot, and you're one of these amazing people, that I'm proud to call a true friend, Mo. A number of my friendships that I've made here, have gone beyond myLot, and I never dreamed this would happen, but am so happy that it has.
I hope you get to read this gabs, but please don't do any typing that you're not supposed to do, and make sure that you lay down, get your rest, and take it easy. I'm so happy to hear that the horrific pain will be gone, once you've fully recovered. You deserve only the best in life, as you're such a warm, caring person. Will 'talk' when you're able, and I can get it worked out. Big hugs.

Thanks so much, and as far as the support goes, you've brightened up many of my days ... too many to count. Wow, what an amazing friend Darkwing is! I think it's fantastic that they met online, as it proves (to any doubters), that it's really possible to meet special friends this way. Not that anyone has to prove this to me. Big hugs to you. 'mom it is so good to see you - I have missed you a lot since you have been offline! good to see things have obviously been fixed at your end! Gabs is sounding great and very hard to be home and I thank Goodness that Darkwing is there as you know how stubborn our Gabs can be! lol I am pretty sure that Gabs and Darkwing met online and she is a very special friend! I have had as much if not more support from you 'mom than I have ever given out and I too appreciate it - sending you love and hugs xxx

I feels very nice to know that people share such good relations here on mylot.The care ,concern and affection for our fellow members by our group is simply commendable.I too wish fast recovery of Gabs.
