illegal immigration

I know that some of you may think that this is a topic that belongs in the POLITICS DISCUSSIONS but to me it is a life issue. I live about 20 miles west of Tucson Arizona, some 25 miles from the Mexican border. This is the time of year when the illegal immigrants began to wander through. It's on a daily basis where I see them walking with their backpacks looking for anyone to help them. The law is specific concerning the aid that can be given to the immigrants, allowing food and water but not transportation. I have given food, water, even money but sometimes it breaks my heart to see them struggling so. I've only called the Border Patrol twice and both times it was a medical emergency. I know that they are in this country illegally but I've driven through some of the poorest regions in Mexico and I can see why they would want to come to the U.S. My question is, what you would do if you came across an illegal immigrant?

I would help them as much as I possibly could. They are human beings after all and helping others is a good thing :)

Here we have many illegal immigration from other country too, and we won't help them. Why? Those illegal immigration guy start to make many criminal action recently, included robbing, raping, and many more. That's why we started to hate them.

Really, we just don't here about it in Tucson. I mean some of the ranchers complain about litter but thats about it. I wonder what the national statistic is on illegal immigrant and crime. I'm gonna have to look it up. Thanks.
