Hi guys, I have a great question for you. My daughter's bath toys no matter how I dry them out still end up with mould on them. How can I get rid of this without ruining the toys. A lady at my local Kmart said she used bleach on her kids toys but wouldn't that ruin the plastic & rubber? What are your suggestions? I am willing to try anything.

The bleach won't ruin the toys if you dilute it well enough and rinse the toys off. At the daycare center, we would soak the toys for 3 minutes in a dilute bleach solution(1/4 c in a bucket of tepid water) and then rinse them in hot water and then set aside to dry. Good luck!

I have a friend in Austria who works in a child care type centre & in order to clean all their toys, they place them all in a washing bag & then throw them all in the machine!
Put it on a warm cycle & they should come up just fine!
I haven't tried it myself but i plan to the next time the toys need a clean coz the bag will protect the toys but it will also clean them. You could try adding a tiny amount of bleach in to the wash with the toys - just enough to sterilise them without ruining them!

Vinegar. Take about one part vinegar to two parts water and either soak the toys in them. Take a scrub brush to them if the vinegar doesn't work right away. You just have to let it work. It's all natural and safe for children! And you may want to try lemon juice too. Or even tea tree oil. That would probably work just as well if you and your little one aren't allergic to it. Atleast three drops of tea tree oil to one part water should work. That's all it takes.

Hi there! One of the best way to clean your baby toy is using Pigeon washing liquid. It's actually designed to be used on baby bottles but it can also be used in cleaning your babies' toys! Also, you can use it to wash fruits and vegetables to be eaten by your babies. It's 100 percent edible and safe! Try it and i assure you that you will like it!
