Tales and Lie

A poem that started in a short story class I had. It took a full semester to get it typed up because I kept forgetting about it. I hope you like it.
Long of tales and of lies
Of nonsense sprouting wings,
As soon as words are spoken, flies
Long and far, calling out,
Screaming, screeching so they’re
Never forgotten, crushing the darkness
Hiding on the edges of sight
Of sound, naught but rustling,
Dusty, bones and dirt built
Up over time, spilt from
Lips dark, stained from deception,
Of depression, calling for attention
But never knowing what it
Is they really want
What they really seek
Within the world around them,
Hiding behind what isn’t right,
Never listening to another,
Just spouting tales and lies
As each and every word flies.

I really like your poem. It flows right along and you have a very good sense of imagery and metaphor. I see a lot of potential in your writing, and encourage you to share as much of your work as you would like here! Keep up the good work! You express yourself so well!
