As i was working this morning someone called me up. She is Victoria from New San Jose Builders. She laid a very important message to me. According to her I won a house and lot from thier company!!Oh my God!!! I always dreamt of having my own house and lot and this is it!!! Of course I asked her how did it happen. She just told me that their company had a raffle and it happens that they got my name as the winner. Wow! I was advised by her to go to thier office to claim the prize hat I won and I have to bring ID too. (What? claim to the office my house and lot!?!) Is that so small that it was fit inside thier office!! LOL After i put the phone down I searched thier company name. It was in the net and they are really a realty development company but according to the website it was a condo that they build not a nhouse and lot! And there's no such raffle that was held in thier company! Oh my! Another scam???? I almost want to believe about the lady but it was all lies. Don't you think so?

You please better check out all the details about the company, before you find that it is a scam. After going through your contents, it does not appear to me a genuine deal. Please verify, before you get trapped.

go to their office but be really careful..have someone with you when you go there ans when they start to ask you to pay for this and that do not pay for it. it has big chances that it is a scam.

That is so sad, sorry Ayessa, could it had been a friend playing a joke? Amazing today how there are so many scams, be careful for, they come to you on internet and mail, and now I guess by phone, It surprizing how many there are now a days, I am sad, it was not true, did the realty say anything to you. Did you get the ladies name, yet it was probably a fake name I am so sorry, that would of been so perfect for you and your family.

Don't be sorry for me. I really don't believe the lady in the first place. Cause I never joined any raffle. And I was really asking the lady how they got my details but she keeps on saying its in the stub but I never signed any of those and not seem such. Thanks for the concern!

it could of been she found your name listed in the phone book or public records on internet. I am glad you are a very wise lady. You sounded wise to me, and now I realize you are very wise, thank you for showing me that women are wiser than men think we are 'smile'

If you want to validate your winning, you can call the company directly and verify; try to find out from the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry if the New San Jose Builders actually has filed for a registration of its promotional activity that led you to winning this raffle! No harm in finding out for the truth!!

If it quacks like a duck and walks like a duck it's a duck. Before you go to see them check them out with the better business bureau. This sounds like an out and out scam especially since you didn't buy any tickets or sign any stubs. Be very careful

As you already know, since you didn't enter any raffle, I'm certain you didn't win a prize. I would call the company whose name the woman used using the number in the phone book) and tell them that someone is calling people pretending to work for them. I would also inform the police. These people are most likely looking to steal either your money by claiming you need to pay them to process paperwork, or steal your identity and personal info to run up bills in your name ans such. Either way, what they are doing is most likely illegal. Even if you didn't fall for it, someone else might.

Oh my, sorry to hear that. It can be really disheartening at times you know. They keep talking to you about winning this and that and at the end it is just a hoax it can be so bugging too.

ayessa this is yet another really sick scam. dont be fooled by the raffle thing. if you did not enter a raffle you could not'win a raffle. I was also scammed and was even sent a check for one thousand dollars to be sent to this comp[any where I had won a contest for a cruise to bahamas or fifty thousand dollars 'but had to sent the check to them for holding fees? oh yeah went to the bank and the bank manager tookone look at the phony check and said take this to the police or to the postmaster, its' not legitimate, its phony, a scam. so yes hate to burst your bubble but it is a scam.

If you didn't enter a raffle, it's probably a scam. Here's what I learned about the raffle - go to this website and see what it says. There is a chance it's legitimate, but I don't know how things work in the Philippines. http://www.manilatimes.net/national/2007/oct/28/yehey/property/20071028prop5.html If you are OFW, then you may well qualify. You might want to contact the Manila Times to see if they have heard anything bad about this raffle before going to their office. Take a friend with you, though. It might be OK, but it's better to not go alone. Let us know if it's for real!!
