how to find a good job to be as a software engineer?

My boyfriend is a software engineer.He has one year's experience.
Now he want to find a job which can give him a good chance.Even he can woke in this company with less pay.of course,he also have good ability and interested in software.
my dear friends,could you tell me how to find the chance?
