I'm going to be a grandma for the first time.

Thanks so much I hope everything goes well also. I have been wanting a grand baby for a while. I am praying for a healthy and happy bundle of joy. Now if my daughter who had been off birth control for 5 years would get preggers that would be great. When I called my older sister and told her I was going to be a grandma she assumed it was from my daughter. I then said "you didn't ask me who it was from." She paused for a few seconds and said "I assumed it was from your daughter." I had to correct her. She was very shocked it was my son. My son always said he did not want kids nor will he ever get married. He has asked her to marry him before the preggers thing. Now the baby wow he such has grown up. I am so proud of them both. They will make great parents.

My dughter gave us 2 grandsons and now a grand daughter due Sept 21st. Our son will more than likely not get married nor give us grandkids as he is not the family type what so ever. But that's cool as it is his life. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Grandpa Bob I did not think our son was the family type. He has sure surprised us all. He is even going to go to all the OB appointments with his girlfriend. He sure has grown up. There might be hope for your son. He may meet the right girl and shock you one day.

What type of work do you? It is that you do not have the energy to care for a baby, or is it you work to much or both. I understand having second thoughts of having a baby if your job would get in the way. It is very hard to be a working mom. I worked nights and my hubby worked days so we did not have to pay much baby sitter. It was so hard trying to sleep during the days with the kids in the house in the summer and making sure they came home from school on time. I was so afraid I would be asleep and not wake up for several hours after the kids where due home from school and they had not showed up. I would wake up every 45 minutes to check the clock. I did not sleep well at all.

Thank you very much for your kind words. I will be seeing them this week on Thursday. I am excited. They are coming for the four of July holiday. I want to say hi to the baby in her womb. I love it already.

Yes, we will be I am only guessing. I want to be an active participant in this child's life. I know Grandpa will also. He was not around much with his kids hopefully he will do better with his grand kids. He already is a softer kinder person after his stroke four years ago. I am planning on getting the pool fenced so we do not have to worry about a baby drowning. I also have been looking at cross stitch pictures of announcements to do up for the baby. Mom wants me to knit her a sweater, but I have never knitted a sweater. I might have to knit one for the baby first. The mom second. Any other idea's?

Thanks, I am so pleased. I am thinking lonewolfnan is a boy's name? I sure home so because for I girl I do not think it will fit. hahahaha

I want a granddaughter so bad. If it is a boy I will love him just the same, but I really, really want a girl. I am so glad your daughter is getting her girl. Did she want a girl this time. I bed daddy is excited. I know grandma and grandpa are. I cannot wait to see them when they come here for my son's girlfriend's birthday on July 3. We are giving her a surprise party. That was planned before I knew about the baby. We will be together on July 4 at our daughters house as a big family. I will take my camera and get someone to take a family photo of all of us.

I have always loved being a mom also. My mom did not want nor like my twin and I and she told my twin on a daily basis. I have never told my children that. I am proud of them and I have told them that I will always love them no matter what they do, I may not like their actions but I will love them and we will get through no matter what has happened. I think that has kept my children close to me. They have never done anything bad. I have been disappointed at times but oh well they have to live their lives. My son is a lot like me he is very sensitive. He will love his baby very much I am sure. Just talking about it I am getting all teary eyed. I am too sentimental I cannot help it.

Thanks, the baby will be loved by all. I am so proud to be called Granny. I have a Granny who is 90 and she was my favorite person to me. She loved my sisters and I when our parents did not. She is not herself now, she has dementia so she does not remember what is going on most of the time. I feel I want to be that type of Granny.
