I think we should bring back death penalty as the risk of executing the wrong person has basically gone, now that is DNA. I understand why they took it away, we were executing the wrong people, but that really won't happen now. Also It gives murderers something to be afraid of rather than prison. It also depend on the crime. Some crimes warrant the death penalty, people need to realise that death can be the outcome for some crimes.Share your opinion with me.Thanks in advance

I agree with you totally. Why are we paying, in taxes, for this person to have three meals a day and live with no worries where there next meal comes from. I think that every circumstance is different but when there is absolutely no chance of a mistake and the person is guilty of a horrendous crime, they have no right to live, in my opinion. Of course there would have to be no doubt whatsoever, as there have been quite a few people put in jail over the years, that are now proven to be innocent through DNA. Soo it is good that those people weren't executed, but like you said, with DNA proof these days, that wouldn't happen very often, a wrong person being executed.

it depends on how they kill the person that determines whether it cost more to keep them in prison or to execute them. DNA evidence is not perfect either their can be mistakes. It does cost money to dispose of the bodies. Do you put the bodies in a landfill or cremate them?

DNA evidence is not available in most criminal cases. And even if it is, it's not as conclusive as we're led to believe by all those CSI-type shows. DNA evidence can also be damaged or corrupted, making it unusable.
Also, it takes a lot longer to process DNA evidence and can be pretty expensive. Many police departments don't have all the sophisticated, expensive crime-lab operations you see on TV shows.

Yes, start frying them. It would help the economy and rent would come down. Also gardens would grow better.

yes!!!! i think if some of these child abusers & other crimanals that get buy w/a slap on their hands should have done to them just what they did to innocent little children & adlts. it is ridiculous how high the crime rate is. then they give them a plea bargain which i don't thin is right either. if they do a crime they need to to do the time.

Well in the UK we dont have it, and I think it should be made legal with strict guidelines though. Paedophils and Killers, rapists and so on should really get it after a trial.

Yes why not bring back the guillotine, or hangins in public places, with nylon rope, that way it will last forever; or decapitation as in the Arabs states. That will make every one think twice before si too late; or they will be out of the way. Let us don't waste to much money on getting rid of them. Why so much compasion or rights for them; they killed someone, the same for them.

Yes, there's no reason why anyone should be killing someone else. For their stupid actions, they should receive the same penalty for what they have committed.
