are you greatful with what you have?

though we don't usually have all we want still God gave us all we need and that is what we are very thankful off..And though we are not rich we are still happy and contented on what we have..we have been able to help others and i have been very blessed with a great family and friends that are always there cheering me up boosting my ego when I'm down. I can never ask for anything else in this world.. I am just so happy that i am blessed with all the love that i need.

hello metal_monkee, great to know that you did such wonderful job. i used to do that growing up and i am poor myself, it's just that i feel that despite my lower level i am still a whole person and not suffering from anything. back then i used to volunteer for orphanage houses, home for the aged, habitat for humanity, and some other non-profit organization. right now i am doing the same thing helping this old lady to have a normal life each day, it is not much but at least there is one life that is not suffering. i am also planning to support uneducated kids to be educated but it will take time as it is still in the process. anyway, like i said, growing up i know we are poor and i only have a mom (as my father left us when i was a kid) and there are so many hardships i have encountered but i never gives up coz i am thankful that i am alive and that i am complete will all the senses there is. the people and kids i am helping reminds me of that beauty of life coz i see them laughing and smiling despite the sadness of the situation they are in, they are much much better compared to me and with that thought who am i to complain when i have a place to sleep in a mom to call my own. we may not have a real home of our own still we are blessed to have a place to sleep and grow. anyway, those are the beginning of my gratefulness in life. right now i am very bless and grateful to have a very loving and wonderful husband who have the same belief and kind heart that i do. he do the same thing that i did back then and until now and he is helping me to help the old lady i mention as well as my plan to educate the kids. we are both hoping to make a simple difference in one's life, it may not be a lot but one is a good start to build a better life or must i say a world. wish you all the best. takecare

I am very grateful for the good health and life blessed by God to my parents, sister, husband and I and to all my relatives and friends. I know how it feels to extend our hands to the needy ones. I admire your generosity for that. We have the same program when I use to work there and it's every month, we have a feeding program for the streetchildren or out of school youth. VEry satisfying indeed to see them happy and smiling with the food that we have them yet a lot of young of today's generation are just wasting their food and money!

Hi metal_monkee! That is such a wonderful thing to do my friend! That is such a beautiful experience I am sure. I do am thankful for a lot of things but what I am really grateful for is that I have my husband with me through all the good times and the bad times. Hi metal_monkee, How good it is to be grateful! It has been rightly said that the way to happiness is to be grateful for what we already have. I am thankful for my home, it may not be a mansion, but it is fine for me, and I know that many are homeless. I am thankful for my family because I know that many are alone in the world. I have an income, I might like for it to be more, but I know that many have much less. I live in a country where there is plenty of clean drinking water, and while I may complain about the weather, I have never known a tornado or an earthquake. Yes, I am very grateful. Blessings.

Hello metal monkee. I guess that's one good way for us to realize how fortunate we truly are. It's saddening to know that certain places still don't have life's necessities. I think it is a wonderful thing you are doing, helping those poor children. You are right. However little we have, there are always people worse off. Life without electricity or fresh water is something most of us will never experience for ourselves, yet we fail to be grateful that we have access to them. I do try to be grateful and every day I think of things I am grateful for. I don't think about what I don't have but about things I do have in my life, and not things I own, but things which happen to me.

first of all you must be a wonderful person to reach out and help those who are less fortunate. thank goodness for people like you. you make a great point and i am humbled by it. i truly am grateful for all that i have and we live modestly but comfortably. i tell my 7 year old son all of the time how lucky he is and how less fortunate many of the world's children are and that he should consider himself to be very lucky indeed. bless you.

First of all u have done a gr8 job of helping the poor......that to children.......hats of to ya buddy [:)]........ well,regarding the issue,i am very much grateful to god for everything i have received in my life ...... i have no problem from electicity , water supply , food , clothes,shelter , etc.......... i am veru much satisfied with my leisure needs ..... i thank god for it and pray for the same for others ........... thats wat i want ...... tc !!! !!!
