If you look carefully at religion in a more holistic view without the backdrop of the scriptures, but in view of history, you will realize that religion is used to usurp power and order the ordinary into submission.
Did you know that the Christ figure goes all the way back to Egypt, Greece and India. One of the oldest is Syrus, but I will tell you a more familiar example - Hercules!
How? Well, here it is -
---Born of a virgin
---Son of God
---Resurrected after 3 days
---Joined his father on Mount Olympus after that to rule the world
---The only begotten son of Zeus
---The savior of mankind (he is called by this name)
And of Syrus, it also has the star in the east during the birth, and 12 apostles too! Now decide on your own.

Kindly read about Hercules and do your own research before dismissing something off as unauthentic. Also read about Mithra, Horus, Attis, Krishna. and know that all these 'Gods' were thousands of years before Jesus Christs. There is nothing to take to personally or religiously and get hurt or excessively sentimental. I only want you to acknowledge the truth.

Have you come across anybody with proper intellectual credibility who have written a book as you said? There are too many nonsensical items in the internet... anybody just says anything, though there are lot of good things though! But anyone trying to write such a book without proper intellectual credibility will find it hard to publish a book esp a book to be published by a respected press.

Wow, I never knew this. There is another figure called Mithra too. But what about the figure in India. You did not mention it. I would be happy to know more about this. Could you provide links?
Cheers and happy mylotting.

Jesus has no mother. He has always existed along with God and the Holy Spirit. And as far as God being a man is concerned, I don't think He has a gender the way we do. God created the man first and He did so in His image. Then He created the woman from man out of man's image. So it wold make sense to me that God a man as much as woman is a male. Gos is closer to male than female because He created man in His image and not woman. That's how I see it anyway. I could be wrong and would be happy to admit it if I am.

Well, bible created by human . Is that any statement in the bible show us that god is a MALE more than a FEMALE.
Anyway , GOD create FEMALE with his characteristic? Then if so , Does the god a SHEMALE?

The Bible was created by God. He used humans to write it; like when a secretary takes dictation. The secretary isn't the author of what he or she is writing, they just wrote down what they're told to. The Bible constantly refers to God as "He." I don't know how much more proof you need to say He's more male than female. God created man from the ground and breathed life into him. (Genesis 2:7) God created woman from man using one of the man's ribs. (Genesis 2:21-23) I suppose you could say that woman was created indirectly in the image of God, but less- at least in appearance. I don't see anyhting in the Bible referring to God as a female at all so He isn't regarded as a shemale in the Bible. But don't let me tell you how to look at God. You should read the Bible for yourself and decide what you believe based on what it says.

I believe Jesus is a God. He is a part of the Trinity. "In the beginning was the Word. And the Word was with God. And the Word was God."
Jesus is a God and He came on earth as a man for us to understand who He is. We usually associate other beings through our context as people instead on seeing ourselves from other beings' point of view.
Now we try to associate gender of God as we have our own gender. God was called the Father and we ask why. If He was called a mother we will only be asking why not call Him a father either. The association between Jesus and being the Son of God doesn't really mean a biological thing. He is called in a metaphorical way in a way that we can understand His relationship with God.

God chose Mary to carry and to give birth to Jesus so she is His mother. Jesus referred to God as His father which is why He is referred to as male.

The Father, Son and Holy Spirit are all one so, although we worship God and Jesus Christ, we are only worshiping one God. I know this sounds confusing but God and Jesus are one yet they are not because Jesus took human form and was born of a mortal woman.

I don't think the title 'son of God' is to be understood in literal sense as much as 'God the Father' is to be understood in literal sense.
I don't think God is man as in the sense of being biologically male. But yes, God revealed himself in the incarnate Jesus Christ who was a male. But if Jesus came as a female the question would be asked why as a female and not man. So I think we leave it as it is... that seems to be the best solution. Blessings!

I started a discussion about the gender of God recently.
Questions to be asked: How come God is always a HE? Why isn't God a SHE?
2. How come a great God needed a human female to descend to earth? How indeed?
3. How come God never has any daughters? God the father is a he, God the son is a he, and god the holy ghost is also masculine. Too many men around, don't you think?
So, the answer? Religion was created by men, for men, with the purpose of keeping society and particularly women under control. Why keep women under control? Well, fear of the feminine... time and again, the feminine has proved to be much more powerful than the masculine force, since it is the feminine that gives birth, suckles, nurtures, and sustains. No man can bring another life to this earth. He might argue that he has a role to play, but it is only a small role. It is the little role of a farmer sowing seed in the field, but if the earth refuses to nurture and sustain and help the plant grow, where is the poor farmer? Nowhere, it is precisely this fear of the feminine that made the male create nonsense of this sort.
Cheers and happy mylotting!

I just believe that Jesus is God. The belief is the key to understand more about Jesus. When you are going to know more Jesus, just beleive in Him first. "Fides Querens Intelectum".

It seems Jesus is son of the god. Jesus doesn't have a mother. Also god is not a Man. He's man and woman. The only reason he's depicted as being a man is the fact that male dominated the scholarly world for centuries. If you read the bible all the important figures are males and when god addresses as he calls us not human but man. Jesus was conceived by Mary as history tells us. People question this problem a lot but it seems if God made us out of what he had, why can't he create another man? Jesus is not fully human but not fully divine either. That's saying he's not human or God. He's a bit like an angel but labelled as son of God as God personally created him. He would be the first man God made after making Adam, which makes him very special.

I do not agree that Jesus is an angel. Jesus is Lord. He is God.
