If you were going to spend a few years on a deserted tropical island which had food and fresh water, but you could only take three things, what would those things be?

I would take with me my 2 dogs and one cat.... Dogs would protect me. All of them would keep me warm. I would have company to talk to and play with....

Ok this is a really interesting discussion.Hmm,is there living accomodations onthis island?I would take my husband so that I would have company cause Im sure it would get pretty lonely out there.I would take a suitcase of books to keep my company when my husbnand was being a moron, lol.I think it there is someplace to stay I would tote my air conditioning along too, cause Im sure its hot there.Maybe a couple cases of pepsi too, lol.

A few years you way ? My topic was forever i guess, not just a few years, so it's a bit different, but i would like to take the privilege to use one of the items my responder used in my discussion: 1. A bath set (toothbrush, dental floss, whatever needed to keep those teeth clean - can't eat if you have no teeth, right? and soap) 2. a big sturdy knife - very useful on a deserted tropical island. 3. A bookshelf full of books (cooking, surviving etc) so that i can improvise at the spot :D

I think I would take a large quantity of sunscreen. Off or some similar insect repellant, and my dog. If I couldn't take the dog, I think I would take a bible, because i would probably never get tired of reading it. You could spend years studying it.

Hi gantwick ! Thats a interesting question. I think I'll bring these 3 things:knife clothes medicine 1st: knife can help me cut fruits or meat so I can eat (to get fire we can make like our ancients with wood :) 2nd: clothes to keep warm 3rd: medicine to help us get out of diseases ! That's my idea :)

Haha, this is an interesting question. For starters, I'd see if it were possible in some way using satelite to get internet on my laptop, and if there were, take my computer and some type of power generator where you could use physical force to generate power. That's two things already, so I guess the last thing would have to be my violin. I couldn't live without that.
