Opinion on social life and how active are you in it

In this global world everyone is busy with their own life and merely has time for social services but isn't it important? shouldn't we allocate some time to help out others and make social service as something essential in our lives. Some say they do it buy donating money to the needy ones, it is not wrong but I feel that we should do more than just giving money because our time, attention and so on brings a whole lot of meaning to life than money. What do you do? Perhaps you want to share with us as so many are clueless about social services.
