Kind of ironic but this is my question: Can you name ways to stay awake, like when you are really feeling sleepy that your eyes are about to close shut and your body slowly becomes weak and out of control.

Well when it comes to me and my fiance if we want to stay awake we will usually drink coffee,or a lot of caffeine, and will try and watch a really good movie, because if you are watching a movie you really like it is hard to fall asleep during it,or we will go somewhere cause when it comes to me I have trouble falling asleep if I am at my friends house or out in public.

Watching a movie can be effective but it has to be really really interesting! And Good!!! If my friends house has a cozy couch or bed then i'd fall asleep in it! But not that easily.hahaha Thanks for sharing and goodluck to you(^^,)

But if you wash your face wouldn't you feel more relaxed and refreshed so then you'll easily fall asleep? I hate coffee wonder why people love them so much. Walking definitely works. Thanks(^^,)

Don't you just hate that feeling! I used to get that when I was on the train on the way home at the end of a long day - it was awful, I'd always be scared that I'd fall asleep and miss my stop - I think that tended to keep me awake!
You could try talking to someone, that should keep you awake.
On the other hand, just give in - even if only for 5 minutes. Get someone to wake you up in 5.
A friend of mine on the train had a placard given to her as a birthday present. It hung around her neck and said something to the effect of : Please wake me at XXX Station. Apologies if I drool in my sleep.
LOL

I hate it when that happens. The only time it happens is when I don't want to fall asleep, and then I can't fall asleep when I do want to.
I haven't really found a way to combat it yet. If I splash water on my face and then dry off, I feel more cozy afterwards because of the contrast, so that doesn't help. Running around helps some, but once I stop it seems to start again.
I always go set an alarm whenever I feel that way.

An alarm clock doesn't work on me!LOL How bout if you get someone to wake you up or slap you in the face to wake you up? LOL Running around tends to be more tiring that's why when you stop, you dose off again. Thanks for sharing(^^,)
