Online Dating Sites....has anyone really had any luck with those?

eHarmony, plenty-of Fish, etc. dating sites! For god sakes, has anyone really have any luck with these online dating sites? What has been you experience with those? Any advise on weeding out the liars? Any advise on what to say and how to be safe when meeting men from these sites. I don't want to do the bar thing, to old for that. So for I have matchs that aren't really matches. eHarmony 29 point match, what ever. Someone give me some insite and advise on this.

I do not know much about them. But, I can tell you my wife and I have two really good friends who met on match.com and have now been married for two years.

I've actually meet two interesting people from dating sites that I happened to be on. However, I've not become involved with either of the people in question even though we have become good friends.
However, when meeting the two, it was two out of quite a few people I had contacted. And for many of sites I've tried, most of them wanted me to pay them money to contact people.
So, I guess the one thing that I can say of these sites are good for helping you meet more people at the tip of your fingers. However, don't get too excited because you'll still need to go through the long drawn out process of getting to know someone and getting comfortable with them in real life.

My girlfriend never went on any dating sites but she did start dating a guy that she met online. They started out as friends and then the relationship blossomed from there. They dated for 8 years and Sunday this past Sunday they just tied the knot. So it does go to show you that some relationships that are made online do work out and do work out for the better.

Yes! I met my fiance from that site and on July 20th, we'll be exchanging vows in the holy sacrament of God.
I know most didn't found luck in dating online sites but I've known lots of people who did, that includes me.
Me and my fiance met at justsayhi.com (a site exclusive for US and Canada residents) around February of 2007. We're both looking for a long time relationship at that time. We found out that we have lots in common.
We then met in person of late of 2007. Now, I am with him in his country and will be married soon.
