My goal for this discussion is to explain to all my friends and beyond how sorry I am for not responding to their discussions in a timely manner. When my email notifications reach 800 discussions, I feel the need to delete the older ones. I've tried to keep up but my fingers aren't fast enough to handle it! So making this discussion a public apology makes me feel alot better. I may not accomplish much but I do feel better. Do you ever get to the point you have to delete discussions and feel bad about it? Thanks for letting me explain and apologize.

I am sure all of us have had this problem at one time or another since joining mylot. My biggest problem is responding to peoples responses after I start a discussion. Its just not humanly possible to answer everyone and im sure most of us here are understanding about this.Im glad it made you feel better to apologize though. All the best and Happy Mylotting!

I came back off my holiday to 1900 emails most of which were discussion notifications, now I have tried my hardest to get through them all, but it is impossible! I still have over 1900 of them, the most I managed to get it down to is 1800.
I now realise that I am going to have to do what I did not want to do and that is to delete them. I am like you I feel bad that I have to delete them but it is all just too much on here sometimes. It is a nightmare to keep up with everything and everyone and then do discussions of my own too.

I try real hard but just don't have enough hours in the day to respond to all the discussions. I do feel bad and hope my friends understand. Just don't anyone to take it personally. As the friend list grows, so do the email notifications. Thanks for responding.

Wow. You sure have done lots of posts. Well done on your effort. I don't know if I'm ever going to hit 4 digit. I'm still on 2 digits. o.O. I think deleting a discussions does make you feel bad about it becuase people has been posting on it and then bam! it's gone. I guess ometimes it's necessary and people would probably understand.

What you said did really become a concern of me. I am just wondering, do people mind if you do not respond to their discussion/comments/replies? I personally would not care about what other people say regarding my discussions, there have just been to many things that I posted and i can't keep track of them (although only

I do take the time to respond to a member's response to my initial discussion. After all, that member took the time to answer me. Where I get bogged down is people on my friend's list start so many discussions that I can't get caught up. That makes me feel bad. Thanks for responding and enjoy your time on myLot.

Hi carolbee, I know how you feel. As a matter of fact I am right now going through all my email discussions. I've deleted some of the older ones, like you have done, but I think I should really try to keep up since I've requested the emails. In any case, I'm sure we all have the same problem. Not too many of us can answer 800 discussions. Have a great day, my friend.

Hello there gtargirl. I do feel bad but had to do what I had to do so the email notifications didn't bog down my regular emails which also come to the same addy. Wouldn't want to overload the addy and not receive emails from my kids or friends. Thanks so much for responding.

No need to apolgize, Carol. Well, not to me anyways. lol If you respond, you do. If not, I'm not gonna sit here a sulk over it. I'm still trying to play catch-up from last weekend but not doing so well being for every discussion I repond to, 3 more are hitting my inbox. lol I never just delete a discussion. I always read each and every one of them but only respond if I feel I can include my input on it. Otherwise, I will delete after reading.

It is the allowance of time which make you ready and willing to respond to discussions.

Yes, I j7ust had to delete a bunch of old emails myself. I went back to work and can't spend the time I used to on the computer. I feel bad deleting because I feel there are all these unfinished dicussions I didn't join I guess, and I feel a self-imposed obligation to answer all my emails. I guess we have to do the best we can.

Good idea. Didn't think to do that until earlier today after I posted this discussion. It was like a lightbulb went off in my head or maybe it was the beginning of a headache! Don't want to miss any discussions that may be exciting though so I keep them all on. Thanks for responding.

Yes, I do have to and way before 800, more like over 100. So no need to apologize as far as I'm concerned. I do this for fun and a few cents or to get help with things, vent, etc. No pressure from this one. Take care, besides, you have had a lot to do lately.
