Having friends won't help you directly earn more, unless those friends happen to be referrals :)
It can help to have lots though as they will respond to your discussions and give you more discussions to respond to therefore helping you earn better.
Though after awhile if you get too many friends it becomes very hard to keep track of them all unless you were to spend the whole day on mylot!
The best thing to do to earn here is to write longer quality posts like this one that I have written here :)

Hi,
Adding friends will not help you make more money but you can always visit the profile of your friends to know about their activities and their new discussions. You can then respond to their discussions and join the discussions in their activities. This way can help you make more money faster and build up good relationship with your friends in myLot.
Happy mylotting.

I'm not sure if you mean accepting or sending friend requests or if you're referring to getting referrals for myLot.
If you mean referrals, then yes, they do help you earn because you'll earn 25% of what they earn.
Friends can help you earn by participating in your threads (the more participation in the threads you start, the more you "might" earn...not exactly sure how the earning process works) I don't think having 100 friends or 500 friends on myLot effects your earnings in any way.

If you are speaking of mylot, you do not earn for having friends. However having friends can be a great thing. I personally come onto mylot and check the discussions I started to see if they need responses and then I hit the conversations my friends have started. So if you have friends they are more likely to respond to your discussions.
If you mean friend signing up under you in programs that is usually a great thing as well, because most places will give you a referral bonus. Here at mylot you earn 25% of what they earn. It can add up quickly if your friends are active posters. It is also great to have an online network of friends to invite to join programs under you. Maybe they join, maybe they don't, but it gives you a pool of people to ask.
Welcome to mylot and good luck to you.

Yea, I've been wondering the same thing.
I'm still not quite sure how you get money on here.. Well I of course know that you have to type quality responses and actually get into them, and I have been, but my earnings said that I got $0.08.
How much do you usually get for each rsponse? Because if it's that low then I'm kind of lost as to how people actually earn any money on here then..haha.
Anyone have any tips?.. Tricks?.. Secrets?

I think that responding to discussions, adding photos to discussions and things like that are the only trick :/ I don't understand how people earn either but I am willing to try to find out!!

Do you mean here on MyLot? I don't think having friends earns you money purely by just having them. But it does increase the chance of your discussions receiving more responses which will increase your earnings... I don't really use MyLot for the money anyway. It's really a tiny tiny amount for the time spent. I pretty much just use it for information and a couple other things. I stick to my other money making sites for the actual money earning.

I think having friends can help if they will post on your topics and carry on discussions with you. if you add them and then never hear from them it probably doesn't do you much good unless they are fantastic writers and you just like seeing their posts. I think if you can make a few friends who are loyal posters to each others discussions it not only helps generate a bit more cash but also prevents you from having to search and search for relevant topics to write about. If you want go ahead and send me a request, I am pretty good at replying to posts and I'm looking to add some friends for the reasons I stated.
