should senators running for president have to vote on legislation

I've been noticing that whenever a controversial bill is introduced in the senate, it seems that our presidential candidates seemed to avoid voting. What do you think? Should they have to vote or should they continue campaigning?

I feel they should have to vote but of course they dont want to because it could be used against them later on.Welcome to mylot.Have a great night.
