Firstly, yes the Media does print stories before the truth be known! But if this story is true...how can this be? A couple with young children including 18 month old twins, a boy and a girl. Neighbours say the young ones would come to their house asking for food! Roaming the streets etc. etc. HOW do the twins pass away in their cots, weighing the most lightest weights, and found by a sibling, and the father says "I thought everything was okay!" The twins having been dead for about a week! This type of story really hits the emotions as there are plenty of people who would love to have a child and are unable. Where were authorities in this case....or more to the point why were the neightbours not seeing something was wrong! It is a sad day when society does not want to get involved and hence 2 young lives are gone!

This is horrible, I think the society is t wrapped up in their own world to see what is happening to their neighbors. I think that the neighbors should have reported the hungry kids the first time they visited. there are many signs of neglagence and hunger that people should be aware of. Maybe we should use this as a way to educate others about ways of protecting all the little children that can not speak for themselves. If you suspect something is amiss report it and let the experts do their job and find out.

Society is either wrapped up in their own world or there are fear issues involved as some people would prefer to keep out of it because they may fear for their own lives. If this is the case why not just report what you see or may think is going on and no-one apart from who you reported it to needs know! I would be the first to report something that I did not see as right and leave the thinking of "should I" for later then deal with that then. My heart goes out to this innocent little ones and any others that suffer......and for what?

i can't understand parents who take their children for granted! This is a very sad incident. Why couldn't take care of their kids properly! There are lots of people out there who wants to have a baby but was not given a chance so why would this people do that! And yet they can say "I think everything was okay". Im a mother and i can tell if everything is okay. If I saw them I would probably help those twins and report the incident to the authorities!

The mind boggles as to why these things happen and when I think back to when my children were young I was always worried about them and tried to do everything right and to protect them but in cases like this, maybe they fall pregnant and have a few children to care for and their skills are not there! Apparantly the twins were the size of new born babies!

You hear far too many of these stories nowadays. Is it because they are happening more and more often, of is it that they have always happened, but now they are just getting more coverage, or tat people no longer deny them?

The stories we do hear are almost unreal like someone has written a novel or something in a movie, it is hard to believe that these are true facts and people are actually responsible for these doings.

well...
thats kind of sad, i think as a sister to 2 sisters and 3 foster brothers, (2 below 4)
and i think that i want them to be happy and alive the whole time they are with us..
i think the parents are not very good at parenting..
and i think they should not have had kids in the first place.

You are right in saying some parents should NOT be parents as in this case. It is very sad what has happened here and this is the reason I have put in this discussion as to hopefully reach people in saying something if they feel the need to and let authorities deal with it before this type of thing happens once too often.

People these days are so sick (mentally) and the more people there are the more chance there is of somebody doing something horrible. The government needs to get more strict on certain things like this because over here (UK) they've made a right mess of everything.

caramello this is indeed a sad story.but those parents had
to have known something was wrong, with the twins, how could
they not know.was not the mother feedingthem, were they broke, whatwas going on there. it appears we have not been given
all the details on the deaths of these two dear babies.
