LADIES! Tell me the truth - do you snore?

Are you one who wakes your husband up rather than the other way around? Someone whose decibel level would put a jet engine to shame? Someone whose nasal vibratto rattles the rafters?
Well, I apparently am. My father was a snorer. I would hurry to bed hoping to fall asleep before he did because I knew I couldn't sleep once his chainsaw motor started. When I moved back in with my mother, her words to me were, "I thought your father was bad."
My traveling companion takes earplugs with him that his father had from work to keep the sounds of heavy equipment from damaging his hearing. He says I still wake him up.
I've snored at least since 1969 - that's when I was first told about it. I spent the night at a friend's house and woke up with the feeling I was being watched. When I opened my eyes, my friend and her little sister were sitting on the floor giggling (or trying not to). I asked them what the problem was and the little one says, "You snore!!" They both burst out laughing at that point. Of course, I denied it, but I can do so no longer.
So, my question is - who else shares this sonic power? I'm pretty sure I'm not the only woman in the world who does this.....or am I?

my former roommate, the current roommate, the current roommate's former roommate and myself all snore - or did so until the first 3 got cpaps - or with the first, a bipap
I think you need to go to the doctor and see if you can get a sleep test run and find out if you have sleep apnea.

I've thought that a couple times - Dad would stop breathing in the middle of his. Mom would touch him to get him started again, but that was before anyone even talked about apnea. I have no idea if I do the same thing. I have so many things I need to see a doctor about - and right now I have no insurance, so I deal with the most obvious when I need to. But, I'll talk to my doctor when I can get there again about my snoring. Might only be my sinuses, which my mother has always had a problem with.

My whole family snores but think hubby and I are always fighting for top snorer. lol My bro, however, beats the best with his M-80 snoring. I don't know how my sis-in-law can sleep with him blowing the house up every night.

no,you're not alone. my mother is a heavy snorer what makes she sleep alone now because nobody likes being woke up by her snore. I had not been told i snor until i get married. my husband told me it just sounds weak. i'm afraid that will not be true when i get as old as my mom.
