So a lot has come up recently about comparing Kobe to Michael Jordan. I think tonight's game not only showed who was the better team (like it wasn't already obvious) but also showed Kobe's leadership ability (he's a "good leader" when they are winning and a non-existent one when they are not).
This final series didn't help Kobe in comparison to MJ but what are some of the arguments in each favor. MJ truly put the sport on the map and can be identified worldwide as one of the best athletes of all time.
One thing I will say is that it seems like there is far more competition in the NBA and far better players. MJ was above and beyond the best but he also wasn't playing against such awesome competition.
Thoughts?

Michael Jordan is better than Kobe because, Michael makes his teammates better while Kobe tries to score 81 pts. against that Raptors. MJ made many players emerge into good quality players. For Example, Tony Kukoc, Steve Kerr, Horace Grant.
Kobe whines a lot about his team. Instead of him going on a radio and expressing that he wants out of L.A. he should put his play on the court. Although he did and made it to the finals, it is proof that the better TEAM beat the better PLAYER.

As a Lakers fan, I will say this. MJ is much better than Kobe. Kobe is a great one on one player. But I do not think he has his teammates respect. He has a tendency to blame other instead of taking blame on himself. Not the trait of a great leader.
