Hi! I've been out of circulation from my lot as I forgot my username. hehehe. Insomnia. ...my sister is a victim to this eversince she was in HS and she's now 41 years old. It's actually a disorder, I know. If warm milk doesn't work for you, as well as counting stars and sheep jumping over a fence, I suggest the next best thing to do is to see a doctor. Where are you from? I know here in the Philippines, there is such a thing called Sleep disorder doctors. Oh you can also try filling the air with lavender scented oil. lavender has been proven to be a relaxant. good luck!

Hello williams No doubt insomia is a disease. I have seen so many peoples who are suffering from this disease. I think you do the following to get rid of . 1) you do lots of exercise i.e. walking, cycling, swimming etc. (2) you must read books while going to bed and also can listen music during the night hrs. All these helps you to sleep sound. pkc3000

I feel your frustration..I've been dealing with chronic insomnia for decades now and if standard things like changing your bedtime routine for example arent helping then maybe you should talk to your doctor...I've been on medication now for goin on 5 yrs..I still dont sleep long mind you but I do sleep longer and not broken up...I use to sleep 20 mins here 30 mins there totally about 2hrs a night..now I sleep about 5 hrs a night WITH my meds straight through...if I dont take them though, I dont sleep.. have you tried changing your bedtime routine, for example turning off the computer, tv or whatever an hour before you are ready to hit the sheets, turning down the lights, maybe trying some meditation and/or yoga, eating lettuce (LOL yes lettuce, its a natural sedative)...No coffee or caffine drinks after a certain time of day..there are lots of things you could try if you havent...If none of those things work for you though I'd definately go to your doc and talk to him/her about it....Trust me, it WILL catch up with you...

Hello,Williams! You are suffering from insomnia and not consulted any doctor so far?.... that's not good.as you have desired,i am giving you some tips, follow this,i think you may get over your problems.I had also followed this as advised by a professor of medicine and greatly benefited.first see your bed room not cluttered arrange the article in a systematic manner and ensure that it is sleep-friendly.you can apply some room freshener if you like;it should be quiet, dark and free from distractions, like computer, television.avoid exercise and heavy meals before bed time.take warm milk with honey or/and banana before you hit the bed as this may hep induce sleep.if possible after super walk a mile and come back wash your feet and relax on the bed.while relaxing concentrate your mind and think only of God and start praying Him and continue till you sleep.thanx.

Have you tried warm glasses of milk. Doing something that makes you tired before going to bed. And most importantly have you discussed with your doctor about this? Have you tried sleeping pills? I know what it is like to not being able to sleep. Even since my car accident and having a back injury it is quite hard to do. However I haven't found anything that helps me as of yet.
